Job Title: KS4 Art Teacher - SEMH \n\nArea: Leeds, West Yorkshire\n\nStart Date: ASAP\n\n Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term\n\n Rate: £140 - £220 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)\n\nWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm\n\nAbout the School\n\nAre you a creative, resilient, and passionate KS4 Art Teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are working with a specialist SEMH provision in Leeds that supports students who have experienced disrupted education and require a nurturing, trauma‑informed approach.\n\nThe school provides a highly supportive, therapeutic environment with small class sizes, strong pastoral systems, and a team committed to helping every student re-engage with learning. As a KS4 Art Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping students express themselves, build confidence, and achieve meaningful accreditation in Art.\n\nAs a KS4 Art Teacher, you will:\n\nDeliver engaging Art lessons tailored to KS4 learners working toward GCSE or equivalent qualifications.\nPlan and differentiate creative projects that support emotional expression and personal development.\nBuild strong, trusting relationships with students using a trauma‑informed, relational approach.\nWork collaboratively with behaviour specialists, pastoral staff, and the SENCO to ensure consistent support.What We're Looking For:\n\nQualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.\nExperience teaching Art at KS4, ideally with experience in SEMH or alternative provision.\nA calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to behaviour and emotional regulation.\nAbility to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of needs and learning styles.To be eligible, you must:\n\nHold Right to Work in the UK.\nHold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service OR be willing to apply for one.\nProvide two professional, child‑related references.Why work with us?\n\nCompetitive daily rate based on experience and responsibilities.\nOpportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.\nLong‑term, stable role with potential for progression within a forward‑thinking provision.If you are a dedicated KS4 Art Teacher ready to inspire and support young people in an SEMH setting in Leeds, please apply with your up‑to‑date CV.
