Pre-Preparatory Teacher - QTS (3-7 years old)Location: Essex - Buckhurst Hill (Greater London fringe)Salary: £45,000-£60,000 (dependent on experience)Start date: September 2026Full-Time | Permanent | Independent SchoolThe Opportunity -An exciting opportunity has arisen for talented and committed teachers to join a new independent preparatory school opening September 2026 in Essex. The school will provide a high-quality, academically ambitious education for children aged 3-7, with a strong emphasis on language development, character education, and a broad, knowledge-rich curriculum.This role offers the chance to be part of a founding teaching team, contributing to the development of the school's ethos, curriculum, and classroom culture from the outset.KeyResponsibilities:Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the Early Years Foundation Stage and/or Key Stage 1Create a calm, positive and purposeful classroom environmentSupport pupils' academic progress and personal developmentFoster independence, curiosity, and confidence in young learnersMonitor and assess pupil progress effectivelyWork collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality of provisionMaintain high standards of professionalism and safeguardingCandidate Profile -We are looking for individuals who:Hold QTS or EYTS (essential)Have experience teaching within EYFS and/or KS1 settingsDemonstrate strong knowledge of child development and effective teaching practiceAre reflective, motivated, and committed to delivering high standardsAre enthusiastic about contributing to a growing school communityBring a positive, professional, and nurturing approach to teachingSpecialisms in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, PE, Art, or Languages are welcomed but not essential.Desirable:Experience within the independent sectorPostgraduate qualifications (e.g. Master's degree)What's on OfferCompetitive salary package (£45,000 - £60,000 DOE)Opportunity to join a new and growing school at an early stageSmall class sizes and a supportive working environmentScope for progression and professional developmentSafeguarding -The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
