Overview: NEW POSITION AVAILABLE for a self-motivated and energetic person to join our well-established company, based in Edenbridge for over 40 years to prep items for powder coating whilst training to become a powder coater and to assist our main shot blaster with extra workload. Training will be given in shot blasting too. Main Duties: Check items on purchase orders to ensure they match the metalwork given Flag any differences to the foreman Count items and record measurements on job sheets Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning and masking as necessary Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards Monitor the curing process to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality Check items after powder coating for defects and take necessary corrective action Pack/load onto pallets for despatch to customers Lift heavy objects into a truck and onto the ground Shot Blasting to cover sickness and holidays - metalwork (railings, gates etc.) prior to being powder coated You will need to be fit and very strong. Labourers are often the first point of contact for customers coming to the yard so we look for employees with patience, strong customer service skills and the ability to listen attentively. We often have to work to very tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
