Job Description: As a Bartender at House Party you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment. Working closely with the Management team, you will ensure the day-to-day service of the bar, ensure the venue standards are adhered to and uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include: Mixing Drinks: The primary responsibility of a cocktail bartender is to prepare and serve cocktails to customers. This involves knowing a wide variety of cocktail recipes and being able to mix drinks quickly and accurately. Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service is crucial. This includes greeting customers, taking drink orders, and engaging in friendly conversation. Menu Knowledge: Bartenders should have a thorough understanding of the bar's menu, including the ingredients used in each cocktail, as well as any specials or promotions. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping the bar area clean and organized is essential for both hygiene and efficiency. This includes regularly wiping down surfaces, washing glassware, and disposing of empty bottles and trash. Stocking Supplies: Bartenders are often responsible for ensuring that the bar is adequately stocked with liquor, mixers, garnishes, and other supplies. This may involve taking inventory, placing orders, and restocking shelves. Following Safety Procedures: Bartenders should adhere to safety guidelines when handling alcohol and operating equipment to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of themselves and their customers. Upselling: Bartenders may be expected to upsell premium drinks or promote special offers to increase sales. Monitoring Intoxication Levels: Responsible bartenders should be observant of customers' behavior and intervene if they believe someone has had too much to drink. This may involve cutting off alcohol service or arranging for alternative transportation. Requirements: Love to be the life of the Party and have a big personality Previous experience in a Cocktail Bartender role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a bar or nightlife setting. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service. Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of beverage operations and cocktail preparation. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. We are looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to be part of our team at The Hoxton, Holborn in our restaurant Rondo. Open from breakfast through to dinner, Rondo is a relaxed neighbourhood restaurant offering seasonal modern bistro dishes and great wines for all. Rondo is the kind of restaurant you want at the end of your street; serious about food and drink but with a fun, welcoming vibe. Holborn was the second Hox to join the fam, taking over a Grade II-listed building that was once the factory of George Kent, a famed maker of gadgets and instruments (among them a knife sharpener/cleaner now sitting in the Science Museum, no less). After Kent, BT moved in, and now this former telephone exchange is home to 230 bedrooms (expanding from the original 174) and the Apartment, plus our foodie hotspot Rondo and wine bar La Cave, all a stone’s throw from the capital’s most famous shopping and entertainment districts. Job Title: Lead Barista Contract Duration: November 2024 - January 2025 Days / Hours: - Flexibility with your working schedule will be required. Days and times may need to change based on demand - The cart is due for delivery early/mid November, at which point this role will commence - Starting days: Wednesday - Sunday (potentially subject to change) - Hours: 10am - 6pm (could evolve to start from 8am) Location: Hackstons, 3-4 William Street, Knightsbridge, SW1X 9HL About the role: - The aim of the coffee cart is to drive footfall into the Hackstons store. We would like this individual to support educating customers on the Hackstons store, our range and encourage them to go into the store and explore our range of whiskies, fine wines and spirits. - This Barista role will be permanently outside our Knightsbridge store , operating on a Coffee Cart - We will provide a limited coffee offering: espresso, macchiato, long black, flat white, latte, cappuccino, hot chocolate and mocha. No teas or decaf will be provided (initially) - The Hackstons store will be closed on Christmas Day (25.12.2024) and New Years Day (01.01.2025), and you will not be required to work, however the store will be open on Boxing Day (26.12.2024) and you will be required to be available for this day.
