Interim Disrepair Surveyor\nSouth London\n£300 – £350 per day (Umbrella)\n\n A South London Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim Disrepair Surveyor to join a busy, high-profile Disrepair Team. \n\nReporting to the Disrepair Manager, you will take ownership of disrepair cases from inspection through to completion, ensuring works are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.\n\n Key Responsibilities:\n\nUndertake property inspections to diagnose disrepair issues and specify remedial works\nRaise works orders and manage contractors through to completion\nCarry out pre-inspections, work-in-progress inspections, and post-completion checks\nProject manage disrepair works, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales and budgets\nMonitor contractor performance and ensure quality standards are met\nEnsure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations\nAct as a key point of contact for tenants, providing clear communication and support throughout works\nCoordinate and oversee temporary decants where required\nWork collaboratively with internal stakeholders including Legal and Tenancy teams\n \nWe are looking for a proactive and technically strong surveyor who can manage a varied caseload in a fast-paced environment.\n Essential Skills & Experience:\n\nProven experience in property maintenance or building surveying\nStrong technical knowledge of building defects and repairs\nGood understanding of Health & Safety legislation within property maintenance\nExcellent communication and customer service skills\nStrong organisational and project management abilities\nCommercial awareness and ability to manage budgets effectively\nFull UK driving licence\nDesirable:\n\nPrevious experience in disrepair (training can be provided)\nExperience within the Social Housing sector\nBackground in managing major repairs or planned works
