The company develops advanced sensor technologies used in water quality and environmental monitoring helping clients across the UK measure, manage, and reduce pollution. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, travelling to customer sites, and taking ownership of installations, maintenance, and support for high-tech systems. Youll be part of a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team, working closely with engineers and scientists developing next-generation environmental monitoring solutions. Whats on Offer? Key Responsibilities of the Field Engineer: Install, maintain, and service sensor systems at customer sites. Conduct on-site troubleshooting, repairs, and decommissioning of equipment. Support sensor trials, pilots, and deployments across various locations. Prepare risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of equipment and consumables. Provide technical support to customers, both on-site and remotely. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and updates for internal and client reporting. Work within established Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 & 14001). About You Youre a practical, reliable, and customer-focused individual who thrives in technical environments and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. Youll be the companys face in the field ensuring high standards of professionalism, safety, and technical excellence. Essential Skills & Experience Qualification and/or experience in engineering or a technical discipline (Degree, HND/HNC, BTEC, or apprenticeship). Strong hands-on skills in assembly, testing, calibration, or maintenance of technical systems. Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability. Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively without close supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with customers. Experience working within safety management systems. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively. Full right to work in the UK. Desirable Industry experience in sensors, water, or environmental technology. Familiarity with ISO 9001 / 14001 quality management systems. CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
