Role Purpose To provide high-quality care and early education for children aged 0–5 years in line with the EYFS framework and Little Elms’ Four Pillars curriculum. Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities1. Quality of Care & Safeguarding • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times., • Follow safeguarding policies and procedures in line with statutory guidance., • Maintain accurate accident, incident, and welfare records., • Promote positive behaviour using consistent and respectful strategies., • Adhere to hygiene, health and safety, and mealtime standards.2. Teaching & Learning, • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS., • Implement Little Elms’ Four Pillars:, • Little Athletes – physical development and outdoor learning, • Little Artists – creativity and expressive arts, • Little Innovators – STEM and curiosity-led learning, • Little Well-Beings – emotional literacy and wellbeing, • Observe, assess and track children’s development., • Contribute to planning meetings and reflective practice., • Support children with SEND, following IEPs and external professional guidance. Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseDesirable • Experience working in a busy nursery setting.Knowledge of SEND and inclusive practice.Experience supporting quality improvement or room leadership.
