We are always looking for talented/aspiring support staff to join our team and help us deliver high-quality education to learners. \n Learning Coach \n Location: RuncornSalary: £28,135Contract: Full-time, Permanent \n About the Role \n Reed Further Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Coach to support young people aged 16–19 with additional needs, including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). \n This rewarding role combines learner support, employer engagement, and work placement coordination. You will play a vital role in helping learners develop the confidence, skills, and experience they need to achieve their educational goals and progress towards employment and independence. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Manage a caseload of learners and provide regular reviews, interventions and support.\n, • Deliver engaging and effective Maths and English sessions up to Level 2.\n, • Support learners with additional needs to achieve their individual targets.\n, • Coordinate and monitor work experience placements.\n, • Build positive relationships with employers, parents/carers, local authorities and external agencies.\n, • Track learner progress and maintain accurate records.\n, • Provide careers and progression guidance to learners.\n, • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, inclusion and positive learner outcomes.\n, • Support learners to develop employability, personal and independent living skills.\n, • Contribute to achieving programme performance and quality targets.\n\n What We're Looking For \n Essential \n\n • Experience supporting young people aged 16–19.\n, • Experience working with learners with SEND, SEMH and/or EHCPs.\n, • Ability to deliver Maths and English up to Level 2.\n, • Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.\n, • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.\n, • Strong organisational and caseload management skills.\n, • Commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing.\n, • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.\n\n Desirable \n\n • Teaching, Coaching, Learning Support or SEND qualification.\n, • Experience within Further Education, Study Programmes or Supported Internships.\n\n Benefits of working for Reed Further Education/our client:• Exclusive representation to leading FE colleges, prisons, and training providers in the area• A specialist further education consultant who will search for jobs on your behalf• A Health Cash Plan and Reed Discount Club• Entitlement to Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Pay, Parental Leave and Antenatal/Pre-Adoption Appointment Payment• Access to Training and Development - Reed Assessment Centre - Reed Learning.• Great referral bonus’ (up to £200 per successful referral!)• Access to roles throughout the UK and online/remote learning \n \n To apply for this role, please send us your updated CV by clicking 'Apply Now'.
