As a Control & Safety Systems Engineer, you will design, implement, and optimize industrial automation and safety systems that ensure reliable, compliant, and efficient operations for our customers. You will play a key role across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through to commissioning and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Engineering Design & Solution Delivery • Design and develop control and safety system solutions (e.g. DCS, SIS, PLC) based on customer requirements and industry standards, • Perform feasibility studies, simulations, and testing to validate design concepts, • Translate technical and business requirements into robust engineering specifications Implementation & Commissioning • Configure, test, and deploy control and safety systems at customer sites, • Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), • Ensure systems are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards Standards, Compliance & Safety • Apply and contribute to engineering standards, specifications, and best practices, • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. functional safety, IEC standards), • Conduct inspections and assessments to verify system integrity and safety Project & Stakeholder Management • Execute tasks within project plans, timelines, and budgets, • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, • Act as a technical point of contact for customers during project delivery Continuous Improvement & Innovation • Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, tools, and methodologies, • Contribute to innovation initiatives and digital/automation advancements, • Support knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across teams Documentation & Reporting • Prepare clear and accurate technical documentation, reports, and specifications, • Maintain project documentation in line with quality and compliance requirements Behavioral Competencies Managing Complexity • Analyzes complex technical challenges and identifies practical, effective solutions, • Evaluates multiple scenarios and understands downstream impacts Collaboration • Builds strong working relationships across multidisciplinary teams, • Shares knowledge proactively and supports team success Key Skills & Expertise • Control & Safety Systems Engineering (DCS, SIS, PLC), • Engineering design, specification, and implementation, • Functional safety and regulatory compliance, • Testing, validation, and system integration, • Project planning and scheduling, • Risk assessment and mitigation, • Technical reporting and documentation, • Stakeholder management and communication Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Automation, Control Systems or related), • Proven experience in control and/or safety systems engineering within industrial environments, • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g. IEC 61508 / 61511) is an advantage, • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset What Success Looks Like • High-quality system designs delivered right first time, • Projects executed safely, on time, and within budget, • Strong customer satisfaction and long-term relationships, • Continuous improvement contributions to engineering practices
