Job Title: Hardware Electronics Test Engineer Location: Brentwood (5 days a week onsite) Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential extension) Role Overview: We are seeking a Hardware Electronics Test Engineer with strong hands-on testing experience to support hardware validation and compliance activities. The successful candidate will work within a structured test environment, producing high-quality reports and ensuring products meet required EMC, Radio, and Safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong electronics background and an eagerness to learn within a compliance-focused testing environment. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct hardware testing and validation activities, • Produce detailed test reports and documentation, • Operate electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analysers), • Support compliance testing (EMC, Radio, Safety standards), • Optimise test tools and scripting processes, • Analyse, organise, and present test data clearly, • Attend and support activities at external test houses, • Apply structured test and validation methodologies Essential Skills & Experience: • Strong engineering mindset with eagerness to learn, • Background in Electronics Engineering (or related discipline), • Hands-on experience using electronics test equipment, • Knowledge of compliance standards (EMC, Radio, Safety), • Experience using test scripts and validation methodologies, • Ability to sort, analyse, and present technical test data, • Willingness and ability to attend external test facilities Desirable Skills: • Experience collaborating with developers to design test cases, • Ability to summarise complex technical information for different audiences, • Experience managing a test workstack or workflow, • Basic Python scripting experience Candidate Profile: • Prior hands-on hardware testing experience, • Exposure to compliance testing environments, • Structured, organised, and deadline-driven, • Strong communication skills
