Bid Writer | Essex | Salary: £41,000 – £45,000 + £4,700 Car Allowance We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bid Writer to join a growing pre-construction team. This role is central to securing new business by producing high-quality, compelling, and client-focused tender submissions for projects ranging from £500k to £5m. Working closely with estimating, design, and delivery teams, you will develop persuasive bids that clearly demonstrate capability, innovation, and value to clients across a range of projects. Key Responsibilities • Writing clear, concise, and persuasive responses for PQQs, ITTs, and tender submissions, • Interpreting client requirements and tailoring responses accordingly, • Coordinating with internal teams to gather technical and project information, • Ensuring full compliance with bid specifications, deadlines, and quality standards, • Supporting the development of bid strategies, win themes, and case studies, • Managing document control, versioning, and maintaining a library of reusable bid content Essential Experience & Skills • Proven experience as a Bid Writer or Proposals Writer (ideally within construction, refurbishment, or fit-out environments), • Understanding of public sector procurement processes is advantageous, • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with strong attention to detail, • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure, • Organised, proactive, and collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Bid Writer looking to play a key role in a dynamic and supportive pre-construction environment.
