We are seeking a highly skilled and multi-talented Specialist Mini Piling Operative to join our team. This role is crucial, focusing exclusively on the installation of steel cased mini piles using specialised Drop Hammer or Mole Driven rigs. Beyond piling, you will be responsible for the full installation cycle, including structural steelwork fabrication and installation, along with the final concreting works. Experience with ground preparation and general excavation is also required. This is a hands-on role for a self-starter who can manage the entire process from pile installation to structural finish. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to: Piling Operations: Expertly operate and maintain Drop Hammer or Mole Driven rigs for the safe and efficient installation of steel cased mini piles. Fabrication & Installation: Fabricate, cut, and weld, structural steel beams and fix them to the installed piles/foundations. Concreting: Carry out final concreting works, including setting up formwork, pouring, and finishing. Excavation: Perform necessary hand and machine excavation (e.g., footings, trenches) for ground preparation and access. Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, piling layouts, and fabrication plans. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to strict health, safety, and quality standards on restricted access sites. Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and minor maintenance on all plant and equipment. Required Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you must have: Essential Experience: Extensive, proven experience specifically with steel cased mini piles installed via Drop Hammer or Mole Driven techniques. Multi-Skilled: Demonstrated ability in structural steelwork installation/fitting and concreting/finishing. Plant Certification: Valid CPCS Blue Card or equivalent in Piling Operations preferable. Groundworks: Experience carrying out general excavation works. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of piling methods, ground conditions, and temporary works. Safety Focus: A commitment to safe working practices in confined spaces and restricted access areas. Driving: Full UK Driving Licence preferable.
