As our firm continues to grow, we are looking to appoint a Business Administrator to support the smooth and efficient running of the office and wider business operations. The Role This role sits at the heart of the firm’s day-to-day operations. You will provide essential administrative and organisational support across the business, working closely with fee earners, managers, and support teams to ensure processes run smoothly and consistently. The role is varied and hands-on, offering exposure to different areas of the firm. As part of this role, you will also support the firm’s front-line communications by handling incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner. This position would suit someone who enjoys being organised, supporting others, and taking pride in keeping things running efficiently behind the scenes. Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness & Office Administration • Providing general administrative support across the firm, • Managing correspondence, documents, and records accurately and confidentially, • Supporting file management and administrative processes, • Assisting with the preparation of documents and internal paperwork, • Supporting compliance and procedural requirements where needed, • Acting as a point of contact for internal queries and requestsTelephone & Front-of-House Support, • Answering incoming telephone calls professionally and courteously, • Directing calls to the appropriate fee earner or team, • Taking accurate messages and ensuring timely follow-up, • Providing a positive first point of contact for clients and external contactsOperational Support, • Supporting managers and teams with day-to-day operational tasks, • Assisting with onboarding administration for new starters, • Helping maintain office systems, processes, and documentation Essential: • Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role, • Confident and professional telephone manner, • Strong organisational and time-management skills, • High attention to detail and accuracy, • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, • Experience within a professional services environment (legal, financial, or similar), • Familiarity with office systems and document management This role is: • Office-based and collaborative, • Varied and people-facing, • Involving regular telephone contact with clients and colleagues, • A purely reception-based role, • Highly sales-driven, • Narrow or repetitiveWhy Join Gardner Champion?, • Join a respected firm with genuine heritage and stability, • Work in a supportive, professional environment, • Be trusted with responsibility and involvement, • Gain exposure to different areas of a growing law firm, • Build a long-term administrative career within a respected organisation
