Morson Talent is currently recruiting for experienced Painter Supervisors, to support ongoing projects at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth. As a Paint Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and controlling all resources allocated to the project to maintain a productive working environment in direct support of the clients contracts in the Marine operation. Key Responsibilities: Check all operatives are wearing the correct PPE for allocated tasks and that they are “fit for purpose” Lead and control skilled labour and work crews engaged in all activities concerned with the blasting, painting and coating work aspects of the project Be accountable for the optimisation of all resources to ensure the efficient and timely completion of all work packages Supervise and coordinate activities of work crews engaged in the mechanical or aqueous surface preparation of substrates for coating, including sand-blasting, bead-blasting, water jetting and other methods Be accountable for supervising and coordinating activities of work crews engaged in applying protective coats of paint to exterior or interior surfaces relative to the project work packages Take responsibility for keeping records of all work completed and the completion of “Daily Allocation Sheets/ SSR Records” Exercise discipline at the worksite to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness Enforce strict compliance with all QA/QC and Safety procedures, plus all company rules and regulations Required Experience & Skills: The ideal candidate for the role will have excellent communication and leadership skills which will enable them network and build relationships. They will have the ability to prioritise, delegate and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, where they can demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills. The candidate must also have strong IT skills. Experience in a supervisory or management role Experience of workforce planning, forecasting and development TPT/ICATS/TTP- Industrial Coat Applicator Training DBS Check Security Clearance Full UK Driving Licence IOSH qualifications or knowledge would be desirable Qualifications & Training: - Train the Painter Supervisor Cards - IOSH Managing Safely Qualifications - TTTP or ICATs Qualifications Pay Rates PAYE - Basic: £19.50, OT1: £25.35, OT2: £31.20 UMBRELLA PAYE - Basic: £25.56, OT1: £32.68, OT2: £40.22 Taxable lodge allowance for travelling workers: PAYE - £50.65 per day UMBRELLA PAYE - £65.84 per day Work Arrangements 38 standard hours a week, 07:30 - 16:00 Monday to Friday, regular overtime available. 29 days holiday annually (inclusive of bank holidays) TPBN1_UKTJ
