Reporting to the Head of Quality & NPD, the Feed Safety & Compliance Manager will hold responsibility for the implementation, adherence and continuous improvement of the sites feed safety standards. They will be responsible for developing and implementing feed safety protocols, conducting regular inspections and audits and ensuring all safety procedures are followed at all times. The Feed Safety & Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all operations meet or exceed regulatory, safety and quality standards. This role leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of feed safety programs, including HACCP, GMPs and internal quality systems. The manager oversees audits and works cross-functionally to ensure consistency and compliance across facilities. The Feed Safety & Compliance Manager plays a critical role in risk management implementation, verification of hygiene standards and incident response. They champion a culture of safety and regulatory excellence, ensuring the company delivers safe, high-quality pet food that meets consumer expectations and legal requirements. Role responsibilities include: • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, • Monitor changes in feed regulations and proactively update internal policies to maintain compliance. Ensure compliance to relevant feed safety and hygiene regulatory standards and guidelines, • Maintain and update all feed safety programs including HACCP, recall procedures and GMPs, • Developing and implementing feed safety protocols and procedures throughout the full end-to-end manufacturing process, • Lead hazard analyses, preventive control reviews and validation of process controls, • Oversee environmental monitoring, allergen control and cross-contamination prevention programs where applicable, • Work closely with the Quality & Systems Manager to develop and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions and quality manuals, • Oversee the integrity of documentation and records required for regulatory and certification compliance, • Support implementation of quality management systems (QMS) and ensure continuous improvement, • Lead internal audits and oversee third-party audits for ISO, GMP, Trading Standards and GFSI schemes (BRC) and customer requirements, • Preparing reports on feed safety audits, incidents and inspections, • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inspections and follow-up actions, • Develop and execute corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans., • Manage feed safety related product investigations, deviations, non-conformances and consumer complaints, • Lead product recall or withdrawal processes when needed, • Conduct root cause analyses and implement preventive measures, • Establishing emergency procedures and protocols for handling feed safety breaches, • Lead and manage an effective HACCP team, • Develop and deliver feed safety and GMP training programs to colleagues, • Promote a proactive feed safety culture across all departments, • Ensure cross-functional teams understand and follow compliance expectations, • Collaborating with management and colleagues to identify potential feed safety risks and solutions, • Create internal reporting metrics to drive feed safety standards, • Maintaining audit ready standards at all times, working to BRC requirements Skills, experience and qualifications required: • Must have excellent organisational and communication skills, • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse data and identify trends or areas for improvement, • 5+ years of experience in food or feed safety, quality assurance or regulatory compliance, preferably with pet food or animal feed, • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs and related feed safety regulations and standards, • Experience with audits (regulatory, third party, internal) and CAPA management, • Auditing experience or lead auditor qualification, • Strong understanding of ingredient safety, traceability, and supplier verification, • Ability to interpret and apply feed laws, • Proficiency with technical documentation and QMS, • Good IT skills including PowerPoint, Excel and Word, • Dedicated to promoting a culture of feed safety, • Ability to train staff in feed safety procedures, • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, • Working collaboratively with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority, • Strategic thinker with attention to detail and execution focus, • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment, • Strong ethical judgment and commitment to food safety and quality, • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, • Sound judgment under pressure, especially during audit or recall situations

The Engineering Manager will have overall responsibility for ensuring efficient operation of the engineering function, including day to day breakdown maintenance, planning preventative maintenance and organising the Engineering team to achieve tasks within defined timescales and targets, in a way that minimises costs and maximises efficiencies whilst at no time jeopardising Product Safety or the Health and Safety of employees. This role will lead and project manage the delivery of CAPEX plans and equipment improvement projects. Duties include: • Effectively delegate maintenance tasks and small projects to the right skills in the team, planning and managing effective works, • Review and develop the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out and lead the team to deliver effectively, • Audit and ensure compliance of the engineering data systems, • Schedule both internal and external work(s) maximising planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime, • Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the factory leads, • Optimise equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, ensuring the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), • Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electromechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are undertaken, • Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required., • Manage and maintain site criticality survey., • Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend combined with a strategy to manage expenditure, • Manage the process of the introduction of new machinery, plant and equipment from drawing up the specification, to managing suppliers through to full installation in collaboration with all relevant parties, • Manage the process of disposal of obsolete machinery, plant and equipment from gaining agreement to write off to physically removing it and its safe and lawful disposal, • Lead and develop capability in the team to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems., • Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation, • Provide technical expertise to the team, • Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact, • Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the engineering department., • Ensure KPIs are met by developing a plan, including management of, and reporting of results., • Ensure that Housekeeping in all Engineering Controlled areas are kept to the highest standards., • Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements, • Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors Skills, Experience and Qualifications required: • Experience of leading an Engineering department with strong leadership and team development skills, high levels of energy and team engagement, • Engineering apprenticeship and associated qualifications such as BTEC ONC, HNC, HND in Electrical Engineering is essential, • Have a good understanding of HACCP, COSHH and GMP principles, • You will also possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate assertiveness and decision-making skills and have a positive attitude to your work., • Drive Root Cause Analysis and strive to prevent re-occurrence with counter measures, • CMMS experience and knowledge, • Ability to deploy and execute the preventative maintenance strategy for the site., • Driven to deliver solutions, ideas and innovations in a positive and pragmatic way, • Passionate about quality and best practice whilst driving continuous improvement, • Working knowledge of internal H&S audits and processes, • Capex and Project Management experience essential.

Reporting to the Head of Quality & NPD, the Supplier Partnerships Manager is responsible for building and managing strategic relationships with suppliers of key raw materials, including proteins, grains, vitamins, minerals, functional ingredients, additives and packaging materials alongside 3rd party manufacturers. This role ensures that our raw materials and outsourced finished goods meet the company’s nutritional, safety, regulatory and sustainability standards. The Supplier Partnerships Manager oversees supplier performance across quality, service and feed safety. They play a key role in long-term planning, new product development ingredient sourcing and risk mitigation. This position requires a strong understanding of the pet food industry’s regulatory environment, raw material markets and animal nutrition needs. The Supplier Partnerships Manager drives continuous improvement with suppliers, identifies opportunities for innovation and works in close collaboration with the Purchasing team to ensure the company maintains a competitive and resilient raw material supply chain whilst maintaining quality, nutritional and feed safety standards. Role responsibilities include: • Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with raw material suppliers, including meat and poultry suppliers, agricultural producers, premix and blend manufacturers and specialty ingredient vendors, • Maintain regular communication with all raw material suppliers, including supplier visits, on-line meetings and supplier audits (based on risk assessment) to include producing detailed and concise contact reports after all meetings with clear documented action plans, • Conduct business reviews, performance evaluations and collaborative improvement initiatives, • Ensure alignment of supplier capabilities with production needs and product innovation goals, • Identify savings opportunities, alternative ingredient strategies and supply optimization whilst assessing quality, feed safety, nutritional and operational impact of changes, • Monitor and track supplier performance on quality, service, on-time delivery and feed safety metrics, • Work with suppliers to conduct root cause analysis of raw material quality issues and agree plans to prevent re-occurrences. Ensure non-conformances are closed out effectively and on-time, • Benchmark suppliers’ standards and identify opportunities to improve, • Partner with Quality, Nutritional and Feed Safety teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and internal safety standards. Enhance internal cross-functional working relationships to maintain high quality standards of the raw materials and products we purchase, • Manage corrective action plans and lead and conduct supplier audits when required, • Work with the Product Development team on ingredient qualification, formulation changes and sourcing for new product development, • Align on responsible sourcing and environmental initiatives, • Identify supply risks and work with the Product Development, Operations, Planning and Purchasing teams to develop mitigation strategies, • Work in partnership with the Planning team to identify production risks, manage non-conformances and implement effective changes to manage and mitigate disruptions to service, • Support crisis management during supply disruptions, • Maintain accurate and up-to-date approvals, supplier certifications, relevant specifications and supplier qualification, including audits, risk assessments and ongoing monitoring. Verify that suppliers provide required documentation such as COAs, SDS and feed safety certifications, • Identify opportunities to improve raw material specifications and supplier quality checks to enhance feed safety and quality, • Training and development of Pets Choice colleagues on raw material quality criteria, with regular feedback, supplier visits and coaching to improve performance and enhance the understanding of the raw materials we use and the supply chain as required, • Overall responsibility for planning raw material trials (trials will be performed and supported by members of the Technical team), • Maintaining audit ready standards at all times, working to BRC requirements Skills and requirements: • Excellent organisational and communication skills, • 5+ years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or supply chain, preferably in food, pet food or ingredients supply, • Strong knowledge of raw material categories relevant to pet food e.g., meat meals, fresh and frozen proteins, grains, functional additives, vitamins and minerals, fats, and oils, • Experience and expertise in various meat industry ways of working, animal anatomy, slaughter process, animal welfare and raw material handling, • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify trends or areas for improvement, • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to visit suppliers and manufacturing facilities. It is expected that this role requires travel 2-3 days per week, • Good IT skills including PowerPoint, Excel and Word, • Supplier auditing experience or lead auditor qualification, • Working collaboratively with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority, • Strategic thinker with attention to detail and execution focus, • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment, • Strong ethical judgment and commitment to food safety and quality

This role requires strong communication and collaboration to work alongside other teams in the business to deliver each project to the standards required by our customers.
