This is for the person who understands that rehabilitationisntjust about offering advice; its about rolling up your sleeves and pro-actively supporting someone on their journey About the Role: Youll work within the prison delivering 6-week courses to groups of participants to support them on their journey towards release they are designed to be short sharp and impactful so your ability to quickly build positive connections will be an important part of the role. You will work with Support Workers and Peer Mentors to deliver a comprehensive support package for their last 12 weeks of custody - as a key member of this dedicated team youll help individuals overcome barriers build confidence and take meaningful steps toward rehabilitation. This is a demanding yet deeply rewarding role. Youll be working in a challenging environment with individuals who have complex needs and may be hesitant to engage. However when you help someone break the cycle and take real steps toward transforming their life the impact is truly life-changingfor them and for you. WhatYoullBe Doing: • Group FacilitationYou will be delivering sessions to groups of participants on a variety of topics such as goal setting social interaction and positive decision making., • Relationship Building:Foster genuine trusting and non-judgemental relationships with participants creating a safe space for personal growth, • 121 Support:You will also be working 121 with participants setting and reviewing goals while ensuring accurate and timely recording, • Caseload management:Youllmanage multiple individuals balancing their needs while keeping up with all the related admin., • Training/Facilitation experience: You will have the ability and confidence to deliver engaging sessions, • Communication Skills:Youll have the ability to engage motivate persuade and listenbuilding strong connections with those you support., • Safeguarding awareness:You are supporting complex individuals at a challenging time in their lives and will need to be able to identify any safeguarding risks.
