A secondary school in Hounslow is looking for a proactive and well-organised Science Technician to support its science faculty from September 2026. The position is offered on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, and is initially expected to run for around one term. There is a strong possibility that the placement will continue beyond the initial period, making this an attractive opportunity for someone looking for longer-term work in education. You will work closely with teachers across the science department, helping them prepare engaging practical activities and ensuring laboratories, equipment and resources are maintained to a high standard. The Ideal Candidate Degree or relevant qualification in a scientific discipline is desirable. Previous laboratory or technical experience. Strong practical understanding of science equipment and procedures. High level of attention to detail. Organised approach with the ability to prioritise competing tasks. Comfortable working in a busy school environment. Reliable, flexible and able to work independently. Strong awareness of workplace and laboratory safety.
