We are looking for an Innovation and Net Zero Consultant to join our team and lead on our data analytics projects. Responsibilities: • Providing technical expertise across DG Cities’ range of consultancy and innovation projects., • Quantitative analysis and visualisation of data in Excel, PowerBI, GIS or other software., • Maintaining existing and develop new software applications in Python., • Consider how AI can be used to create new and exciting solutions that can benefit local authorities, • Maintaining an awareness of the latest developments in net zero/energy technologies and markets through research and engagement., • Work closely with the senior team, gaining experience in both tech and strategy consulting while contributing to the success of a purposeful project., • Draft shareable content based on DG Cities’ projects and research, including blogs, web articles, presentations, executive summaries and reports., • Be creative and innovative. Expertise • Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline such as engineering physical science, architecture or engineering, • Excellent report writing and presentation skills, • Excellent numeracy skills and ability to quickly think through complex problems, • IT literate and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, • Experience or academic background in coding (Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS), • Track record of successful business development and bid writing, • Track record of creating partnerships across housing or transport and a strong professional network in the UK. -> To apply please send your CV and a short cover letter to . DG Cities is a multidisciplinary organisation working across a range of sectors, and with a variety of different stakeholders and clients. Key to this role will be the ability to work collaboratively with other technical specialists, sharing knowledge and insights to enable a holistic ‘whole city’ approach. Recent projects have included building of an analysis data platform for social housing providers, combining nudges for smart home energy monitors and piloting their impact and delivering policy development on automated vehicle safety.
