Senior UX Designer – SC Eligible Location: Wokingham, UK Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days onsite) Contract Length: 6 Months Day Rate: £400 per day (Inside IR35) Employment Type: Contract We are looking for an experienced Senior UX Designer to join a high-performing digital delivery team working on complex, user-centred platforms within a secure environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a UX professional who thrives in collaborative Agile teams and is passionate about designing intuitive, accessible, and impactful digital experiences. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping end-to-end user experiences across enterprise-scale applications, from discovery and research through to prototyping and delivery. Key Responsibilities: UX Design & Strategy • Lead end-to-end UX design activities including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing, • Develop user journeys, personas, interaction flows, and design concepts, • Define and maintain UX standards, best practices, and design consistency, • Deliver intuitive and user-focused experiences across digital products User Research & Validation • Conduct interviews, usability testing, and user research activities, • Translate research findings into actionable design improvements, • Validate concepts through iterative testing and stakeholder feedback Collaboration & Delivery • Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders, • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, • Present and communicate design decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences Accessibility & Compliance • Ensure designs meet accessibility standards including WCAG, • Support delivery within secure environments requiring SC eligibility or active SC clearance, • Contribute to inclusive and compliant digital experiences Required Skills & Experience • Proven experience as a UX Designer with a strong portfolio of delivered digital products, • Strong expertise in:, • User-centred design, • Interaction design, • Accessibility standards (WCAG), • Usability testing and prototyping, • Experience working within Agile delivery environments, • Proficiency with tools such as:, • Figma, • Adobe XD, • Sketch (or similar) Preferred Experience • Experience working in secure or regulated environments, • Previous experience on enterprise or public sector digital transformation programmes, • SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance Soft Skills • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, • Creative problem-solving mindset, • Attention to detail and passion for user experience excellence, • Ability to influence and advocate for user needs
