Main Purpose of the Role: In this role, you’ll be supporting the Mill Manager and our dedicated Engineering team to help ensure the Mill runs smoothly and efficiently. Our Worksop site operates 24/7, and great engineering practice is at the heart of our success. This position follows a gentle five-week rotation: Weeks 1–3 (08:00–17:00), Week 4 (07:00–16:00), and Week 5 (12:00–20:00 with on-call cover from 20:00–07:00). Key Tasks and Responsibilities: • Ensuring all machinery and equipment is running at its best to keep our operations flowing smoothly, • Responding calmly and effectively to breakdowns or unexpected issues, • Using a thoughtful and methodical approach to fault finding, • Supporting project work with care and attention, • Carrying out general machine maintenance, from cleaning to rebuilding, • Completing PPM tasks in line with our maintenance schedule, • Helping champion positive improvements in onsite engineering, • Supporting general upkeep across the site, including office and production areas, • Keeping clear and accurate records of work completed, • Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment, • Following all Health & Safety and environmental guidelines, • Completing any reasonable task requested by our Management Team, • Taking part in our out-of-hours call-out rota What We’re Looking For: • A minimum Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering, • Good working knowledge of pneumatics, • Experience in a similar fast-paced, high-volume production environment, • A calm, supportive approach when facing challenges, • Strong organisational and time-management skills, • An adaptable mindset with the ability to embrace change, • Warm, clear communication skills at all levels, • Great attention to detail and a thoughtful, analytical approach, • A natural problem solver who enjoys finding the right solution, • A positive and flexible attitude Ready to be part of something bigger?
