\n Installation Engineer\n \n Job Description\n Job: Installation Engineer \n Location: Somerset region / Bridgwater, South West England - Field based \n Type: Full time, Permanent \n Additional info: 37.5 hours per week, Commercial Van supplied \n Telent are now looking for an Installation Engineer (Interface Engineer) as part of the Network Services team. This is a fantastic role that allows you to flex your installation skills for electrical and telecommunications / telecoms equipment, as part of the prestigious Hinckley Point C nuclear project in Somerset. You will need to be flexible to travel in and around Somerset, and travel to our Depot in Bridgwater in a field based fashion - full UK driving license required. \n Reporting to the Installation Manager, the Installation Engineer will be responsible for the installation and configuration of communications / telecommunications equipment (such as CCTV systems, PPA systems, racking, wall mountings, alarms, cabling, routers and switches etc.) as well as the successful witnessing of project installations at Hinkley Point C (HPC) Nuclear Power Station in Somerset. This is a role that focuses on electrical installation, so a background in electrical installs (high voltage / low voltage) is advantageous! \n Installation Engineer - What youll do:\n \n • Work as part of a team to prestage and configure electrical / telecoms equipment within the Dunball, Bridgwater Warehouse facility\n, • Assist with and carry out building, stripping, and packaging equipment for delivery to site (DTS)\n, • Collaborate onsite with 3rd parties to install and commission equipment and networks\n, • Witness and report on 3rd party installations, providing progress updates to the Installation Manager\n, • Develop and maintain health & safety awareness onsite and report hazards as appropriate\n, • Consider health & safety issues, hazards, and risks as an integral part of daytoday work, seeking to minimise risks wherever possible\n, • Electrical Installations experience or relevant Engineering / Electrical qualification or Diploma\n, • Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and technical drawings and instructions / work packs\n, • Installation or commissioning experience is essential\n, • Good communication and teamwork skills\n, • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required\n, • Ideally based within a commutable distance to Dunball, Bridgwater and Hinckley Point C in Somerset\n, • 34 days holiday (including public bank holidays), plus the option to buy or sell days annually\n, • Company matched pension scheme\n, • Access to the Flexible Benefits portal\n, • A range of family friendly policies\n, • Occupational health support and wellbeing Portal\n, • Discounts on Cinema, Restaurants and Shopping with Telent Reward scheme.\n \n #TJ-Onsite \n #LI-Onsite \n \n \n About Us\n About Telent is a leading technology company and specialist in the design, build, support and maintenance, drawing on decades of experience in mission critical communications and technology of the UKs critical digital infrastructure.
