We are currently looking for Residential Childcare Workers to join our residential homes! Based in a children's residential home, you will be working with young people with challenging behaviour, and you will need to be flexible, resilient, honest and well organised, as well as committed to providing a high standard of childcare to help young people achieve the best possible outcomes. This is a permanent role with excellent career prospects and a comprehensive training programme within an expanding company. You will be working on average 38 hours per week - 2 days on and 4 days off shift pattern with 2 sleep-ins. In addition, you will be eligible for generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime hours, and a performance-related bonus scheme. • Full manual driving licence, • Be capable of working on their own initiative to a high level of accuracy and maintaining clear, neat records, • Have good interpersonal skills and be a positive team player, • The ability to complete daily records to meet statutory and policy requirements, • Empathetic nature, • Have good oral and written communication skills in a variety of contexts, • The ability to engage, motivate and encourage young people, • Previous experience of working with young people, • Willing to work towards the fully funded qualification in Level 3 Children and Young People (or already qualified), • Holiday Allowance, • Pension Scheme (3% Employer contribution), • Employee Discount Scheme, • Employee Assistance Programme Polaris is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.
