This is an excellent opportunity to join an established, supportive team and make a real difference to people across Gloucestershire. The main responsibilities of this role involve the refurbishment, processing, packing and distribution of healthcare goods and equipment. About the Role: Gloucestershire Equipment Loan Service (GELS) plays an important role in supporting the care sector in Gloucestershire. We are responsible for the refurbishment, distribution, delivery, collection and maintenance of equipment to support people being discharged from hospital and to help people to remain independent in their own home. The service is delivered on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council and One Gloucestershire. Responsibilities include: • Unloading medical equipment for refurbishment from vans, • Operating machinery to sanitise scrap items, • Loading & unloading of equipment through the refurbishment process, • Using a scanner to move items to their correct locations on internal systems, • Ensuring Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to when undertaking the role, • The routine renovation of products in compliance with the manufacturer’s instructions About You: The ideal candidate will have worked in a production or warehouse environment and have experience of these processes and procedures. You will have experience working in a team and be happy working independently. You will have a focus on quality and a positive, can-do attitude.
