We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a key member of our executive leadership team. This individual will act as a strategic thought partner to the President and CEO, providing financial insight, leadership, and direction across the organization. The CFO will be responsible for all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, capital structure, compliance, and tax. A key focus will be to streamline systems, strengthen internal processes, and elevate financial transparency and discipline throughout the company. This role will also lead high-level financial negotiations, debt structuring, and support growth initiatives from concept to execution. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Strategic Financial Leadership • Partner with ownership and executive leadership to drive financial strategy, optimize portfolio performance, and structure development deals., • Provide financial insights to support decision-making and long-term value creation across all areas of the business., • Oversee all general accounting functions, including payroll, benefits, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting., • Ensure the financial integrity of reporting processes and maintain compliance with all applicable tax, licensing, and regulatory requirements., • Lead the annual financial audit and manage external auditor and third-party accounting relationships., • Manage all banking relationships, loan processes, and debt negotiations to secure favorable financing terms., • Oversee treasury operations, including cash management, cash flow forecasting, hedging, and fund allocation., • Direct the development of annual budgets, long-range financial plans, and forecasting models across the portfolio and corporate functions., • Collaborate with department leaders to ensure financial goals are understood and met., • Implement and improve financial systems, tools, and processes that support real-time reporting, automation, and scalable growth., • Manage and mentor the finance team by assigning responsibilities, setting objectives, and supporting professional development., • Promote a collaborative, high-performing culture across finance, accounting, and strategic planning teams., • Provide leadership across insurance strategy for operations, development, and employee benefits. Requirements: Skills and Qualifications: • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a real estate development or investment setting., • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA preferred., • Deep knowledge of real estate capital markets, partnership accounting, debt/equity structuring, and portfolio management., • Proficient in Yardi; strong financial modeling and reporting acumen., • Proven success in leading complex financial negotiations and organizational change., • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to executive teams, lenders, and investors., • High level of integrity, ethical standards, and strategic thinking.
