Shifts Available: • Mon/Thurs: 7 - 11 am and 2 - 9 pm, Fri: 7am - 1 PM, Sat: 9 am - 9 pm (40 hours plus on call) About Brightway Living and Learning: For nearly 65 years, Brightway Living and Learning has been a leading agency providing a full spectrum of care for over 1,600 children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. The Role: As an Assistant Residential Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities while assisting in the day-to-day operations of a residential program. You will work closely with individuals and staff members, helping to ensure quality care and support services are provided, fostering independence, promoting well-being, and encouraging community inclusion. In this role, you will also assist with staff supervision, scheduling, program operations, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for both residents and team members. This is a truly rewarding opportunity to build meaningful relationships, provide leadership support, and make a tangible difference. This position requires a valid NYS Driver’s License for 18+ months with a clean driving history and successful completion of Brightway’s Transportation Orientation and one year of DSP experience. What You'll Do: • Assist with overseeing the daily operations of an adult residential program, ensuring a safe, supportive, and structured environment for the individuals we serve., • Support and guide Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) by providing leadership, coaching, and shift support while helping maintain staffing coverage and program compliance., • Provide hands-on assistance with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, medication administration support, and community outings as needed., • Foster independence and social inclusion by helping individuals build daily living skills, achieve personal goals, and participate in meaningful community activities., • Collaborate with Residential Managers, clinical teams, families, and staff to ensure high-quality care, effective communication, and continuity of support.
