At One River School our mission is to transform art education. We have 14+ schools across the county and we are now taking our innovative, curriculum, and programming to businesses, community centers, public/private schools, and many more. Teachers are supplied with all curriculum, materials, and supplies that you will take to your teaching locations. We Need: * Art teachers that are able to travel across Bergen, Essex or Union County, NJ to bring One River’s art programs to new communities * Digital Art Teachers for grades 3-adult * Studio Art Teachers Pre-K-Adult Qualifications/ Requirements: * 2+ years of experience teaching art or digital design classes * BFA or BS Art Education or related field * Thoughtful communication skills * A passion for One River School's mission * MUST have reliable means of transportation to get to each location punctually * Based on applicants availability, travel to multiple locations Responsibilities: * Facilitate art lessons provided by One River School for a variety of community spaces at their location (libraries, community centers, after-school programs, retirement communities, camps, etc.) * Must be able to teach weekly sessions that can run from 4-12 weeks * Set up/clean up art lessons at the offsite location * Connect with all students to make for an engaging experience Skills * Understanding of various art media * Organization of project outcomes * Behavior management of groups * Ability to offer differentiated instruction to a variety of students * Ability to offer thoughtful feedback to students * Verbal Communication You will teach one or more of a variety of proprietary classes that include the following subjects: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Mixed media, Cartooning, Manga, Digital Art, Animation, Design, Street Art…….and more. Job DescriptionContemporary Art Teachers - Part-time One River School of Art & Design - Transforming Art Education $25-$35 Per Hour Job Description We are currently recruiting for a Digital Art teachers for Grades 3-12 for weekday afternoons and weekends at our Clark, NJ school location. During the School year our classes typically start at 3:30pm so it is a great opportunity for public and private school art teachers and current art students in graduate programs to earn extra money doing what they love. Our curriculum is created centrally so there is minimal prep required and all tools, equipment and supplies are provided. Our Digital teachers need to be experts in the Adobe Creative Suite on Mac: Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, After Effects and Procreate. Job Description Title: Youth Intern Department: NJ Programs & Services Reports to: Director of Rehabilitation Cost Center 58056 Position Type: Entry Level General Purpose: Provide paid summer internships under the grant for DVRS Pre-Employment Transition Services. Program is geared for students currently enrolled in school ages 14 to 21 years of age. The Student Interns will gain work experience at an employer site for up to six weeks during summer 2021. The paid internship will be up to 20 hours per week and student will be paid bi-weekly. Each student intern must commit to participating in work readiness classes prior to internship starting and one day weekly work readiness upon start of internship.
