ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY We are hiring seasonal Bartenders to join our Food & Beverage team at our Beach Club outlet. Bartenders prepare all alcoholic drinks for Members and guests at the Main Club or Beach Club, according to professional standards. WHAT YOU'LL DO • The Bartender's main job is to know the standard drink recipes and be able to mix them quickly and accurately., • Occasionally, customers have their own preferences or recipes for a bartender to follow., • Bartenders also check the identification of members and guests at the bars to ensure that they meet the minimum drinking age., • Bartenders take drink orders and serve drinks using Jonas POS computer system to charge members for their drinks., • In the restaurant, bartenders fill drink orders placed by the diners, but the drinks are usually served by waiters., • Bartenders also have additional duties; they arrange bottles and barwares, wash glasses and clean the bar. Bartenders also remove empty bottles and trash and replace empty beer kegs., • Bartenders stock the bar by bringing liquor bottles, mixed drink ingredients, and other bar supplies from the storeroom to the bar., • Prior bartending experience in a fast-paced environment, • Minimum age requirement for this position is 18 to serve alcoholic beverages per NYS Legal Guidelines., • Bartenders must be aware of state and local laws concerning the sale of alcoholic drinks., • Unexpired bartender certification., • Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions., • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures., • Strong communication skills, • Highly active, multitasking type of environment., • Frequent Standing for extended periods of time., • Frequent Walking, • Excellent physical fitness, visual acuity and sense of urgency to attend to members’ needs, • Work is performed mainly outdoors throughout the summer, • Good interpersonal skills, • Proactive in anticipating and responding to members’ needs, • Comfortable with taking directions as well as communicating with co-workers, • Highly responsible and well-organized in tending to members daily needs, • Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times $20.00 - $23.00 hourly compensation, commensurate with experience WHAT WE OFFER At WCC, we believe that our biggest strength lies in the exceptional people who work for our organization to deliver memorable experiences to our members and their families.
