Job DescriptionGeneral Manager – Specialty Coffee & Café Job Summary The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of café operations, ensuring excellent customer experiences, and driving both financial and operational performance. This role leads and develops a high-performing team, maintains brand standards, manages inventory and costs, and fosters a welcoming, efficient, and high-energy environment in a fast-paced specialty coffee setting. Key Responsibilities • Oversee daily café operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions, • Lead, train, coach, and develop store team members to deliver exceptional service and product quality, • Manage hiring, scheduling, and performance of full-time and part-time staff, • Ensure consistent preparation of coffee, beverages, and food offerings according to brand standards, • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members, • Monitor and manage labor, inventory, and operational costs to achieve financial goals, • Analyze operational reports, KPIs, and sales metrics to identify trends and implement improvements, • Handle customer concerns professionally and promptly to ensure a positive guest experience, • Enforce compliance with company policies, health, safety, and sanitation regulations, • Partner with corporate or regional leadership to implement new initiatives, promotions, and operational strategiesQualifications, • 3+ years of multi-unit or single-unit management experience in high-volume cafés, specialty coffee shops, or fast-casual restaurants, • Strong leadership and team development skills with a focus on coaching and mentorship, • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities, • Knowledge of inventory management, P&L, and labor cost controls, • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, • Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysPreferred Skills, • Experience in specialty coffee or café operations, • Strong understanding of beverage preparation, food handling, and café workflows, • Passion for creating an outstanding guest experience and fostering team culture
