Responsibilities · Oversee daily operations of the fabric, metal, and print shops, as well as the warehouse/shipping & receiving department. · Manage the Inventory Manager and Purchasing Manager, providing direction, support, and accountability. · Lead a team of approximately 6 direct reports and 45 indirect employees, ensuring strong performance, alignment, and development. · Collaborate closely with the design/engineering group and sales team to align production capabilities with customer needs, new product development, and project requirements. · Drive operational excellence through both day-to-day execution (scheduling, staffing, workflow, productivity) and strategic initiatives (lean, 5S, ERP/CRM integration, continuous improvement). · Ensure departments consistently meet or exceed KPIs: on-time delivery, order accuracy, safety, labor efficiency, and waste reduction. · Support vendor management indirectly through oversight of the purchasing function. · Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. · Partner with senior leadership to align operations with growth and profitability goals. · Be available on-call as required to support urgent operational needs. Requirements · 10–12 years of progressive experience in operations or manufacturing management, ideally within a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment. · Strong knowledge of ERP systems, lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and technical drawings. · Proven record of leading teams to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, throughput, and quality. · Skilled at making data-driven decisions, solving problems, and motivating teams. · A collaborative, hands-on leader who is also assertive and results-focused. · Nice to have: Six Sigma certification, OSHA training, forklift certification. Work Environment & Benefits · Full-time, onsite role (first shift, with on-call responsibility as needed). · Salary range: $100-140K · Health insurance, 401(k), and PTO provided in accordance with company policies.
