Job Details Job Details: Our prestigious law firm is currently seeking a highly skilled and passionate Environmental Attorney with a keen interest in environmental law and policy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal, scientific, and regulatory framework related to environmental protection, as well as a strong commitment to upholding environmental justice. The individual will work on a variety of complex and challenging environmental matters, including regulatory proceedings, environmental litigation, and compliance with New York State regulations. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative, and intellectually stimulating environment. Responsibilities: • Represent clients in environmental litigation and regulatory proceedings, including administrative hearings, court proceedings, and appeals., • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and policy development., • Advise clients on compliance with environmental laws and regulations, including the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and New York State regulatory compliance., • Assist clients with obtaining necessary environmental permits and approvals., • Draft and review environmental impact statements, environmental assessments, and other environmental documents., • Participate in negotiations and dispute resolution efforts related to environmental issues., • Stay abreast of developments in environmental law and policy, and provide clients with proactive advice on potential impacts., • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school., • Admission to the New York State Bar., • A minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental law, with a focus on regulatory proceedings, litigation, and compliance., • Demonstrated expertise in SEQRA, permitting, and New York State regulatory compliance., • Strong legal research skills and the ability to analyze complex legal and factual issues., • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for clients and present complex information in a clear and persuasive manner., • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to find creative solutions to complex problems., • Demonstrated commitment to environmental protection and sustainability., • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines., • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
