Job Description TITLE: Senior Relationship Banker LOCATION: Wynantskill REPORTS TO: Branch Manager CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non Exempt PAY GRADE: NE 35 ($21.00 - $32.60 per hour) AVAILABILITY: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:15pm, Friday 8:30am-6:15pm, Saturday 8:30am-12:15pm Position Summary: The Senior Relationship Banker’s primary focus is to establish and deepen client relationships. You will build client advocates by taking a holistic approach to assisting with their pursuit of short- and long-term financial goals. You will actively participate in a dynamic team environment, contributing to the IMAGINE culture and working with colleagues towards individual and team goals. This position performs all phases of customer service, primarily non-teller transactions, with particular emphasis on delivering quality customer service and consultatively recommending bank products and services. This position will act as a leader in branch sales while motivating staff towards sales goal achievement. Essential Job Functions: • Examines financial and personal information to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and to educate customers on various products and services., • Explains key product features and benefits to deliver appropriate solutions for customer spending, saving, borrowing and investing needs., • Collaborates with business partners in Wealth, Premier, Business Banking, and Insurance to help customers with complex financial and business needs., • Prioritizes the delivery of exceptional client service with accuracy and operational excellence, including problem solving and complaint resolution, while leveraging business partners where appropriate., • Supports the branch by working to achieve individual and team goals through strong client relationships and team collaboration., • Responds to service requests and inquiries from customers in a timely manner, while emphasizing accuracy and informative follow-up., • Ensures that all activities adhere to compliance and operational standards. Assist with branch operational activities as directed by management., • Demonstrates vigilance in detecting and reporting fraudulent or irregular activities., • Assists the branch manager in managing branch sales activity and mentors colleagues in pursuit of their sales goals., • Coaches, counsels, trains and develops branch staff in all aspects of their work., • In the absence of the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager has the responsibility for all phases of the day-to-day operations within the branch, including but not limited to open/close procedures, override privileges and staff supervision. Education & Experience: • A high school graduate or GED required or current high school student anticipating graduation., • Retail and/or cashier/teller experience required, minimum of 1 year CSR experience preferred., • Minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience required., • Previous supervisory and or training experience preferred., • Ability to obtain NMLS license within 6 months of obtaining position., • Recommended to pass the NYS exam to become a Notary Public within 90 days of accepting position (Study for this exam is independent, but Pioneer will pay for the test.) Assists in the development and maintenance of retail, commercial and municipal customer relationships. Essential Job Functions: • Actively sells and refers all Pioneer Bank products and service offerings., • Upholds established customer service standards and measurements and ensure such expectations are communicated and adhered to., • Oversees processing of customer transactions and ensures compliance with cash handling and security procedures., • Assists with scheduling, counseling, supervising, evaluating and disciplining all personnel within the branch., • Provides continuous coaching and evaluation of staff sales efforts and monitors results., • Monitors staff compliance with all Bank policies and procedures within the branch, through training and counseling., • Works with Branch Officer to coach staff on increasing branch sales and deposits., • Interviews, selects, and trains staff in accordance with the Bank’s EEO/AA commitment in conjunction with or under direct supervisor of Branch Manager. Evaluates performance, and makes recommendations for advancement and appropriate promotional and merit increases. Motivates and counsel assigned staff to increase professionalism, exceed customer service expectations, and encourage career development., • Ensures that department practices comply with Federal and State laws and corporate human resource policies., • Promotes EEO and Affirmative Action by identifying problem areas and establishing and meeting goals to eliminate underutilization of females, minorities, individuals with disabilities, disabled veterans, and veterans of the Vietnam era., • Assists in the development, implementation and administration of human resource policies and programs including implementation and compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Programs., • Develops subordinates and others in the bank, when requested, for the purpose of succession planning. Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree preferred., • A minimum of one year Assistant Manager or Sales experience or two years’ experience as a Relationship Banker, Client Service Supervisor or Trainer required., • Ability to demonstrate sales skills and capacity to motivate branch staff to cross sell financial services., • Previous sales experience preferred., • Proven ability to comply with policies and procedures, to maintain accuracy and meet deadlines., • Bilingual capability a plus., • Attainment of Notary Public certification within 12 months of beginning position., • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel, E-mail, internet software and capacity to learn retail banking computer system is essential., • Must have own transportation, or access to reliable transportation on short notice., • Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain this throughout employment., • Must have the ability to maintain flexible daily schedule, including evenings and Saturdays.
