Job DescriptionSPORTIME owns and operates 17 tennis, pickleball, sports, camp and fitness clubs across NYS, including sites across Long Island, in Westchester, Manhattan and the Capital Region. Several of these locations currently feature both dedicated and/or “blended” pickleball courts, and offer court-time, instruction and related programs. SPORTIME is in the active process of creating and scaling its new pickleball division, the purpose of which is to own or lease, and operate, dedicated indoor and outdoor pickleball sites in our current markets and in others nearby. JOB SUMMARY: Help develop and implement pickleball instructional, recreational and competitive programming for our members and guests that maximizes court revenue, minimizes related expenses, and reflects the high standard of excellence that we have established for all SPORTIME services. To team build with and be a resource for the staff of other pickleball instructors in order to better serve our members and guests. To maximize and protect the profitability of all programming. To recruit, interview and hire qualified teaching professionals pickleball programs when needed. Train, coach and educate staff of pickleball instructors on all pickleball instructional and administrative related matters on a daily basis and at weekly meetings when applicable. Mentor and be a resource for pickleball coaches. To help design our instructional programs to offer quality instruction to our members at every age, level, and level of interest. Provide concierge-type consultation services to all members and guests relating to pickleball programming. Be knowledgeable of all competitive pickleball opportunities, both sanctioned and unsanctioned. Stay current on all pickleball certifications that will put our site on the cutting edge of all pickleball developments. To help introduce tennis members to pickleball and to provide welcoming opportunities for them to play. In this role, the OPWDD Residential Facilities Coordinator will develop, plan, and oversee the purchasing, maintenance, and construction project requirements of OPWDD (Office of Persons With Developmental Disabilities) leased and owned facilities through to completion. (12 group homes and the Amityville program HQ.) The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that OPWDD planned and emergency maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner, including, but not limited to, purchasing necessary supplies, completing the work, seeking external assistance if needed, and entering said work into the Agency work order system. Responsibilities: • Ensure, from planning to completion, the effective and efficient operations of facility maintenance and purchasing for the OPWDD program., • Perform maintenance and repair work that includes plumbing, carpentry, light electrical, painting, HVAC, masonry and related crafts., • Respond to emergency needs of the residences during assigned and after hours, on a timely basis., • Liaise with Agency Purchasing and Facilities Administrators when working with Building Crafts Mechanics on multiple OPWDD projects and initiating capital expense work projects and bid process., • Participate in OFPC Fire Safety and State Audits. Ensure timely completion of noted deficiencies relating to the physical structure., • Adhere to program budget for all purchasing and maintenance projects., • Recommend the hiring of contractors from approved vendors and research new vendors., • Coordinates and oversees completion of multiple contracted projects to ensure compliance within specifications and quality of workmanship., • Initiate preventative maintenance programs., • Collaborate with Clinical Staff and Residential Management in ascertaining and accommodating residents' current and long-term needs as relates to maintenance, repair work and renovations. Qualifications: • HS Diploma/GED required; some college preferred, • 3-5 yrs. related facilities maintenance, purchasing, and construction project management experience., • Demonstrated proficiency at the "advanced handyman" level with building crafts including carpentry, plumbing, light electrical, painting, masonry, structural household repairs., • Negotiating skills; cost estimating experience helpful., • Good interpersonal communication and collaborative team skills, • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management and follow-up ability in a multi-priority work environment., • Ability to be available On Call 24/7 in emergencies, and to work flexible hours when necessary is required., • Ability to travel island-wide in all types of weather, • Valid NYS Driver's License Salary: $66,500 - 67,568/yr. Core Work Schedule: 35 hrs./wk., Mon.-Fri., 9a-5p with flexibility to work after hours, and on weekends, as required to address emergencies in the residences. This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidates qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation, such as the value of benefits, which may be applicable to this position.
