A stack of trays on a dolly is approximately 24" - 30" and requires a force of up to 7.5 pounds to push. Trays may also be pulled. Climbing Team members must infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, perform maintenance. Stooping/Bending Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station. Toe room is present, but workers are unable to flex their knees while standing at this station. Duration of this position is approximately 30 - 45 seconds at one time, repeated continuously during the day. Forward bending is also present at the front counter and when stocking ingredients. Crouching/Squatting Performed occasionally to stock shelves and to clean low areas. Reaching Reaching is performed continuously; up, down and forward. Summary: The Porter will make sure that a mixed-use residential and commercial building in Flushing, Queens is maintained daily in clean and functioning order for its occupants. During light snow or ice, apply granulated salt compound or alternative immediately to avoid slippage., • Report any illegal activities or conduct, suspected and / or witnessed, on the part of any tenants or visitors at or around the building. If there is any evidence of drug activity (addicts, vials, needles, envelopes), or other undesirable behavior, notify management office staff person immediately., • Report and file report on all accidents without delay to the management office., • Maintain a neat appearance and a polite, courteous demeanor at all times., • Advise of need for cleaning tools, supplies and equipment. We are searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated RN Supervisor, who has experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities. The Nursing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all day to day operations regarding the medical well-being of the people receiving support at all QSAC residences. This position will be required to visit multiple locations throughout, Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens and Long Island. Salary for position is $90,000 annually Responsibilities • Complete required QSAC orientation., • Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals., • Conduct random audits of medical binders to ensure compliance., • Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations, at all times., • Remain on call 24/7 via QSAC phone; provide telephone triage., • Respond to all emergent situations., • Provide trainings and in services for nurses., • Provide AMAP, CPI 2, enteral feeding trainings to AMAP staff., • Ensure certifications are up to date for all medical staff., • Conduct monthly staff meetings., • Administer PPD to staff and individuals., • Assist with policy development., • Attend all meetings, committee and specialty, and provide feedback to staff., • Consult with MDs to ensure optimal medical treatments are provided to individuals., • Work closely with clinicians to plan best course of treatment for maximum health of individuals., • Maintain individual/ family confidentiality., • Commitment to company values and adherence to policies., • Attendance and punctuality is essential. Qualifications are subject to change in accordance with government regulations. • NYS RN license in good standing., • NYS Driver’s license in good standing., • BLS, CPR certification., • Bachelors Degree in nursing., • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations a must., • Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb. items., • Must be able to communicate effectively with others and individuals served. Job Description Job Summary The School-Based 1:1 Teacher Aide works under the direction of the classroom teacher and agency supervisor to provide individualized support to a student within the school environment. This position helps promote academic, social, behavioral, and functional success by implementing teacher-directed and agency-provided strategies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Provide individualized support to one assigned student during the school day in academic, behavioral, and social settings., • Implement teacher- and agency-designed strategies, accommodations, and behavior support plans as directed., • Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and participation to promote inclusion and engagement., • Collect observational data on student performance, behavior, and engagement, as required by the teacher or agency., • Encourage and reinforce positive behaviors and functional communication skills., • Support daily routines such as arrival/dismissal, lunch, specials, and group activities, ensuring student safety at all times., • Promote independence while providing appropriate levels of assistance in academic, functional, or self-care tasks (as directed)., • Communicate regularly with the classroom teacher, agency supervisor, and interdisciplinary team members., • High school diploma or equivalent required (NYS minimum standard for teacher aides)., • Experience working with children, preferably in a school or childcare setting., • Successful completion of agency-provided Teacher Aide Training Program (required before placement)., • Coursework in education, psychology, or related fields a plus., • Ability to follow teacher and supervisor directions while maintaining a positive and supportive attitude., • Strong interpersonal and communication skills., • Patience, flexibility, and professionalism in supporting children with diverse needs., • Must be a team player who collaborates with school staff, parents, and agency supervisors., • Must be able to assist students in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and other school areas., • Occasionally lifts/moves objects or provides physical assistance to a student (up to 25 lbs)., • Constantly positions self to work at student level (e.g., kneeling, bending)., • Ability to observe student performance and behaviors and respond promptly.
