A Lead Interface Engineer works with these teams as well as external parties to ensure our efforts are aligned and focused on achieving the right solution. This role is responsible for leading an engineering team to develop and maintain data pipelines. These pipelines support COTA's business objectives by capturing data, processing it efficiently, and integrating it appropriately into COTA's overall data warehouse. Judicious design and intelligent implementation of these components are crucial to our business success. And as the primary driver of such work, so too is the Lead Interface Engineer. WHAT WILL YOU GAIN • Extensive knowledge of implementing and executing data ingestion services, • Experience managing priorities and driving Agile ceremonies, • Begin to make direct contributions to the DAI code base, • Start to build relationships with external partners, • Begin to understand company priorities, and apply them to DAI team priorities, • Make significant contributions to the DAI codebase, • Begin to delegate team tasks and responsibilities, • Making complex contributions to the DAI codebase autonomously, • Working with product to define team priorities, • Triaging, debugging, and repairing production issues, • An autonomous leader of the DAI team, • Helping set the strategic direction of COTA engineering, • Collaborating with other engineering leaders to improve our products and architecture, • Working with product to define and scope new productsWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE, • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related major, or equivalent work experience, • Ability to write well-documented, reusable, and testable code, • 5+ years of experience in working with data pipelines, data storage, and software services, • 5+ years experience working with SQL and relational databases, • 5+ years experience working with a backend programming language like Python, Java, Scala, etc., • Understanding of data intake, mapping, normalization, and storage, • Professional Experience with Mirth (NextGen) or similar ETL services and data pipelines, • Experience with Cloud integration with AWS and/or GCP, • Proficiency in distributed version control systems such as git, • Clear and strong written and verbal communication skills, • Preparing and delivering presentations, • Writing documentation (technical and non-technical), • Service orientation toward customers (both internal and external), • Ability to collaborate with peers and other senior / principal engineers. Ability to solve technical and business problems collaboratively, • Provide opportunities for people to learn to work together as a team. COTA's Privacy Policy Yearly Salary Range $140,000—$165,000 USD .
