BRIC is building Brooklyns creative future. About the Artist Services Intern BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Role: BRIC seeks an Artist Services Intern who will support the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! team by ensuring each artist has a superb experience working with BRIC and assisting with various aspects of concert production and artist relations. The Artist Services Intern will be an organized self-starter who is excited and passionate about music and the arts, as they will gain first-hand live event experience at one of New Yorks premiere summer music festivals. This intern will see the administrative process before, during, and after the festival, and be closely involved in every show. Through this experience the intern will gain valuable skills related to talent management, contract administration, and event production. What Youll Do in the Role: The Artist Services Intern will be responsible for the following in addition to any other project as assigned by their manager, the Producer, BCB: Collect and organize Artist materials in internal filing systems Assist in the creation of pre-show playlists Send out finalized ROS to BRIC internal teams before every show Coordinate (pre-show) and manage (on-site) Artist and VIP Guest Lists and check-in Assist with artist arrivals (load-in) and departures (load-out) Assist in the distribution of photos and video to Artists Support the administrative work of the BCB producing team Educational Benefits: Participate in multiple aspects of performing arts administration Learn how to process, organize, and track artist contracts & payments Participate in weekly Performing Arts team meetings Learn how to interface with other departments to complete longer-term projects/tasks Gain first-hand event experience, both front of house and backstage as an artist liaison Assist in the development of relationships with artists and provide additional support for rehearsals, performances, and performing arts operations to ensure high-quality artist/audience experience and production values Play a key role in VIP guest entry and general guest experience at festival Learn about objectives and goals in a multidisciplinary Brooklyn-based arts organization, and one of the most well-established summer festivals in New York. Experience & Qualifications: Bachelors, Masters, or currently pursuing degree in related field Self-directed and proactive, self-starter and a problem solver Highly organized with sharp attention to detail Upholds a strict level of confidentiality Outgoing and friendly with strong interpersonal and verbal skills Enthusiasm for engaging with the public onsite, with utmost professionalism Knowledge and keen interest in music and the performing arts Computer literate, especially with Google Workspace apps Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Willingness to work outdoors, early mornings, late nights, long days, and weekend shifts, and to work in inclement weather. Other Things to Know: Time Commitment: This is a part time seasonal role with a preferred start date of late May 2026 and end date of late September 2026. The Artist Services Intern will work 20-25 hours a week. This is an event-based internship, so in-person availability on nights and weekends in the summer is a must. Shows typically occur on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Must be available to work shows for the 2026 season. Salary: The salary for this position is $17/hr. Meals provided on show days. College students pursuing credit for this internship can also be supported. Location: BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! takes place at The Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park. Intern will be expected to work on-site at the venue.
