Role Description The purpose of a Lead Welcome Coordinator (WC)at Oak Street Health is to serve as a dedicated preceptor for new hires and support skill-building for established Oakies. Lead WCs provide local training for onboarding, new company-wide or regional implementations, and remediation for skills and competencies. Additionally, Lead WCs are expected to travel to provide instruction within the region they support. Welcome Coordinators are the face of our clinic and the glue that keeps our center operations efficient. Lead WCs will collaborate closely with the regional and center-based operation managers to meet identified needs for precepting throughout the region(s) they cover. As a Lead WC, you will develop strong working relationships with team members identified for precepting and support their skill mastery and core competencies required for job proficiency. The WC Lead will also assist in assessing when an Oaky has mastered an assigned duty/skill and is ready to work independently, as well as if additional training is needed to support the success of the precepted Oaky. Lead WCs report to the Practice Manager in their region. When they are not precepting, Lead WCs are expected to fulfill the duties of Welcome Coordinators which include: juggling tasks such as scheduling patient appointments, managing inbound and outbound phone calls, and completing other administrative tasks including fax and mail distribution. Job Description Rye Country Day School is seeking Lower School Associate Teachers beginning in August, 2026. The Associate Teacher program is designed to give beginning teachers an apprenticeship opportunity for two years in a classroom with a Lead Teacher while concurrently earning a Masters degree. In addition to a teaching salary and full benefits, Rye Country Day School will pay the full tuition cost of graduate school for Associate Teachers while they are employed at the school, for two years. Associate Teachers are expected to maintain appropriate grades and to complete their degree within two years. Specific responsibilities of the position include: • Commit to the RCDS Associate Teaching Program, a two year program intended for graduate students pursuing a Masters Degree in Elementary Education at an accredited program of their choice, • Collaborate with Head Teacher in concert and in the best interests of students, • Assume responsibility for instructional planning, implementation, and assessment under the direction of the Lead Teacher; assist the Lead Teacher with planning for different class activities, • Work with small groups in activities under the Lead Teacher’s supervision, • Help children on an individual basis with academic, social, and emotional support and with following directions, • Plan and conduct class meetings under the direction of the Lead Teacher, • Provide support to the Lead Teacher and give clerical assistance in reviewing student work and in copying and laminating materials for the classroom; with the Lead Teacher, assemble instructional materials and prepare display and bulletin board spaces, • Help to prepare the classroom prior to the opening of school in the fall, and attend the parent orientation evening and “Back to School Night”, • Assist the Lead Teacher in preparing written reports and conducting parent conferences, • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and parents; contribute in a supportive manner to the life of the community; treat information related to students as strictly confidential, • Attend all meetings called by the Head of School as well as all division and grade level meetings, • Utilize release time and financial support to attend workshops, conferences, and other professional growth opportunities as approved by the Lower School Principal and the Head of School, • Share responsibilities for the Primary Bus Duty, Afternoon Waiting Rooms, Morning Greeters; help with dismissal at the end of the day Desired Qualifications: • A well-developed sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community members; a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, • Experience working with children in some capacity such as teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counselor, • Comfort with technology, including a 1:1 laptop program and online course management system Rye Country Day School is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all federal, state, and local laws, which prohibit discrimination in employment because of race, color, national origin, citizenship, age, sex, religion, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, and veteran status.
