Job Description Summary This position is primarily responsible for oversight and management of focused outreach, administering regulations, policies, procedures and practices; planning, organizing, developing, implementing and coordinating program activities for the Center of Innovation (LEAP) Scope of Work. The Program Manager reports to the Director of Outpatient Services and supervises the LEAP program team. Essential duties and Responsibilities: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Coordinates and integrates service delivery within the program., • Ensures program compliance with OASAS regulations and program policies directly related to program operations and record management., • Coordinates with Quality Assurance/Data Specialist to ensure accurate data collection and reporting, • Provides community education, coordination of community-based initiatives, and implementing initiatives to promote health and safety of individuals affected by drug and alcohol use., • Develop program services that meet OASAS standards for medically assisted treatment provided through telehealth, in community settings, and existing substance use treatment providers., • Direct planning, coordination, and follow-up of outreach to the community., • Coordinate with the nurse practitioner and medical doctor to ensure MATS treatment compliance., • Develop and manage peer support services., • Develop program protocols to improve service delivery and participant outcomes., • Works collaboratively with the Director of Outpatient Services to ensure effective program operations., • Ensure staff maintains accurate and confidential clinical records that comply with OASAS standards and internal policies., • Manage participant data, statistics and tracking for quality improvement and monthly reporting., • Responsible for the implementation of interventions to address the ongoing expansion of overdose prevention, • Provides crisis interventions and consultation as needed, • Manages and responds to crisis in the field, • Monitors participants’ services, assuring that staff are responsive to participant needs and take appropriate action to make adaptations as necessary., • Evaluates staff performance; identifies documents and develops corrective action plans for personnel performance problems. Responds to strengths or weaknesses identified through self-assessments and evaluations., • Makes recommendations for supervisee training(s) as needed, and assures staff compliance with all applicable training requirements., • Conducts program staff meetings., • Participates in case conferences, interdepartmental meetings, quality assurance meetings, staff development trainings., • Coordinates staff scheduling, ensuring adequate staff coverage., • Participates in fundraising activities., • Leads one of agency values teams To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: • Master’s degree in social services or related clinical field, LCSW, LMSW, LMHC and 2 years supervisory experience working with applicable populations who have substance abuse/ co-occurring disorders or;, • BS/BA Degree from an accredited college with a major in counseling, psychology, social work or a human services related discipline and 4 years supervisory experience working with applicable populations who have substance abuse/ co-occurring disorders;, • Must successfully complete a criminal background check, obtain clearance from the Office of Children and Family Services and be drug free. Summary: New York Edge is seeking a passionate, mission-driven team-builder to fill the After School Program Director role. In this full-time role, you will be accountable for the growth, quality, and success of the assigned after-school program operation, its students, and staff. The primary responsibility of the Program Director is to manage the day-to-day operations to ensure that New York Edge quality standards and guidelines are met and that the program meets all contract requirements. You will foster an atmosphere of fun and learning, utilizing a broad range of sports and arts-related activities where the concept of teamwork, fair play, and sportsmanship can flourish and serve as a role model to youth. Schedule: Monday-Friday (Days/shifts vary depending on site needs) This role requires you to be in person. Pay: $58,500 - $62,500 (salary offer will be commensurate with experience and education) Essential Job Functions: * Oversees program staff, program operations, services, and implements programs and/or processes to provide services within established timeframes and in compliance. * Conducts staff performance evaluations and development plans with the Program Manager and Human Resources Department. * Provides weekly and monthly team meetings that encourage opportunities for team feedback and discussions about classroom management, lesson planning, writing prompts, and social-emotional learning. * Communicates regularly with supervisor on program updates, progress, and needs. * Coordinates outreach to the community and presents on the program to actively recruit participants. * Prepares various documents and reports (e.g., attendance, daily activities, daily program content, program design, etc.) for internal and external reporting. * Provides weekly individual supervision to each staff member with feedback, goal setting, and assessment of competencies in the role. * Supports all team members, including in-direct reports, and provides feedback as needed. * Collaborates with the Program Manager, Borough Director, and New York Edge Curriculum and Training Departments to develop and implement monthly all-staff professional development workshops/seminars. * Collaborate with the Principal and Assistant Principals on program delivery to align with goals with student achievement and performance. * Monitors and ensures all program compliance, including but not limited to student registration, staff documents, ratios, attendance tracking, IDs, and building permits. * Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the center and its programs. Education Requirement: * Bachelor’s degree required with preference in Education, Psychology, or Social Work * At least 18.0 credit hours from an accredited college or university in the field of Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field preferred Experience Requirement: * Minimum of three (3) years experience in urban education, youth development or community organizing with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. * Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with youth & adolescents in New York City. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: * Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, manage priorities and workflow, while maintaining a positive, patient and calm demeanor, and establishing a positive team spirit with staff, students, and entire school community. * Strong understanding of New York City and New York State education requirements in an urban setting. * Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals both in person, virtually and over the phone, applying tact and discretion as situations demand * Must be able to articulate outcome requirements and provide the necessary and appropriate resources and support for school and New York Edge staff members to successfully deliver on objectives. * Knowledge of after-school programs, supervising staff, and program planning. * Ability to de-escalate potentially risky or difficult situations. * Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Work Environment & Physical Demands: * Work is performed mostly within a New York City Public School but is required to interact with the community at-large during events, outreach, and trips. * May be required to walk up and down stairs, lift or move objects/materials as needed. * Work hours will be consistent Monday through Friday with potential for some weekend or evening scheduled activities or events.
