Job DescriptionJob Title: Welder Job Description The MIG Welder is responsible for welding and fabricating steel and aluminum components used in the manufacturing of trailers. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, perform quality welds, and work safely in a fast-paced production environment to meet daily production goals. Responsibilities • Perform MIG welding on trailer frames, axles, cross members, and structural components., • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions., • Set up welding equipment, including wire feed, voltage, and gas settings., • Cut, grind, tack, and fit metal components prior to welding., • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality, strength, and appearance standards., • Repair weld defects and rework parts as necessary., • Use hand and power tools such as grinders, torches, and saws., • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety procedures., • Meet production and quality standards in a manufacturing environment., • Work closely with supervisors and team members to support production flow.Essential Skills, • 1+ year of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting., • Ability to weld in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical)., • Experience welding mild steel; aluminum welding experience is a plus., • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools., • Strong attention to detail and quality., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in trailer or heavy-duty equipment manufacturing., • Familiarity with jigs, fixtures, and production welding., • Welding certification (preferred but not required).Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is based in a modern manufacturing facility in California, spanning 141,000 square feet across a 22-acre campus. The work environment emphasizes safety and quality, with a focus on continuous learning and product improvement. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lancaster, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
