Job DescriptionJob Title: PhlebotomistJob Description We are seeking an experienced phlebotomist with a minimum of 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience. The ideal candidate should be proficient with straight needles and butterfly techniques and must be confident performing venipunctures independently from day one. Strong communication skills and reliability are essential, with a preference for bilingual candidates fluent in English and Spanish. Responsibilities • Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately., • Centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and perform decontamination., • Update patient information and collect/store specimens according to established procedures., • Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collections to patients., • Demonstrate techniques using straight and/or butterfly needles., • Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes., • Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order., • Verify test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy., • Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperatures., • Place samples in appropriate containers/tubes and follow specific protocols to maintain specimen integrity during transport.Essential Skills, • Minimum 1 year of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite., • Proficiency in the use of straight needles and butterfly techniques., • Strong communication skills., • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in outpatient settings.
