Job Summary The Meeting & Event Coordinator will interact closely with the Firm’s executives and administrative staff to ensure the seamless planning and coordination of meetings, conferences and other events held at multiple locations in New York and New Jersey. Some travel to certain locations around the East Coast and Central region may be requested. RESPONSIBLITIES: -Handling meeting room bookings, utilizing the reservation system (EMS) and focusing on the strategic assignment of meeting space so as to maximize utilization. Ensuring that the real-time information for each reservation is updated on the reservation portal. -Coordinating a wide range of services for meetings, including Audio Visual requirements, catering, conference room set-ups, signage, distribution of materials, etc. Liaise between client and vendor partners before, during and post event with necessary updates. -Executing events as support or lead as needed, including set-up and tear down of meeting space, catering, etc. -Producing Event Resumes in order to document events and share detailed information with all involved departments, as well as hosting Pre-Cons and Post-Cons with clients and onsite team to ensure everyone is set up for success. -Obtaining correct approval and billing information for all expense related activity to include food and beverage, equipment rentals, etc. Monitoring the accuracy of any such charges and keeping to client’s budget. -Managing survey’s post meeting and working with leadership team on future solutions and improvements. -Quickly identifying booking conflicts or potential booking conflicts, suggesting solutions and if not immediately resolved, discussing such conflicts with the Conference Center Manager/GS Manager. -Checking that meeting rooms are set-up correctly, with the proper equipment and amenities, prior to the start of meetings. Greeting the host upon his or her arrival to the meeting room and ascertaining any new requests. -Ability to life 30-50 lbs. if needed. -Responding to numerous phone calls and emails with new meeting requests and special “add-on” information for existing meetings. -Providing lunchtime and other short-term coverage for members of the Office services staff. -Consistently develop and bring ideas which enhance the meeting experience that can be applied at all locations. -Conducting opening and closing walkthroughs and sending appropriate reports. During the conference room walkthroughs, if any discrepancies are noticed, please ensure they are addressed and reported through the appropriate service ticket. -Effectively solve space or amenities related issues to ensure an elevated user experience. -Other duties as required. Job DescriptionCompany X manages some the most iconic and valuable advertising locations within the US and Canada, including thousands of digital displays throughout the New York, Boston, DC and Miami transit systems. In partnership with the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), Company X is in the midst of a one-of-a-kind deployment of digital displays across the entire MTA system, including in stations and on trains across the New York City subway, Metro-North Railroad and Long Island Rail Road. Company X is responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of a new network of digital screens that will provide enhanced customer information at stations and on trains, as well as new opportunities for revenue generating advertising. This transformative project will be the largest deployment of digital media in a transit environment and will create a ubiquitous real-time customer communications and advertising platform that will reach MTA customers throughout their journeys. Overview: The Durst Organization is seeking (2) Security Officer II - Security Command Center positions for the following schedules: Shift 1: Monday – Friday from 7:00am-3:00pm. Days off: Saturday & Sunday Shift 2: Sunday – Thursday from 3:00pm-11:00pm. Days off: Friday and Saturday Pay Rate: is $23.53 per hour. Additionally, this position would be eligible for overtime for all hours actually worked, consistent with the Local 32BJ Collective Bargaining Agreement. The overtime rate is $35.30 an hour. Please note that wages are subject to tax withholdings and other applicable deductions. Responsibilities: The Security Officer II will provide security and a safe working environment for all visitors to the building. Additionally, the candidate should be knowledgeable and possess the following skills: 1. Assist Security Management with all operational command and control functions of OWTC security personnel., 2. Maintain situational awareness (SA) for emergency requests for assistance from Security, Tenant Security, Engineering, Porters or the PMO., 3. Understanding of the Aware Visitor Management System., 4. Understanding of the Lenel System., 5. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, computer expertise and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. As Command Center Operator, you will interact with all systems in the Security Command Center to include, but not limited to: CCTV systems, access control, duress alarms and vital building equipment alarms. The Operators are responsible for monitoring emergency phone lines, access control systems and video systems. The Operators assist in monitoring threats to employees, tenants and visitors to OWTC. Security Command Center Assistants are on the forefront of the notification process for OWTC during incidents. The Operators also support operations and provide assistance to all Security personnel on each shift with security-related issues as needed. The Security Officer II will be required to execute a number of comprehensive and integrated security measures and countermeasures and must be able to adapt physically to the changing needs and priorities of the Security Organization. Security posts may vary and may include exposure to varying weather conditions. Candidate will also be responsible for additional assignments as directed by Security Management. Qualifications: • Strong verbal communication skills, • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures, • Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel., • Must possess agility, and visual and auditory acuity to perform the essential responsibilities of this position, • Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate calmly, effectively, and courteously in both emergency and non-emergency situations, • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, typically for the duration of an 8-hour shift, • Must have a technical aptitude and willingness to learn how to perform security x-ray and screening procedure and use required equipment, • Knowledgeable and ability to use x-ray image recognition, Magnetometer alarm resolution, and related technologies preferred, • Successful candidates will have earned their high school diplomas or equivalent., • Must possess a valid New York State Security Guard License (8 & 16 hours) Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: • Successful candidates will have earned their high school diplomas or equivalent. We are seeking Apprentice/Journeyman Electricians to join our team supporting the installation of digital visual display systems across commercial and residential properties in New York and New Jersey. This is a hands-on field installation role focused on wiring, mounting, connecting, and testing digital display systems and related electrical components. Electricians in this role will work directly with our Master Electrician and project team to execute installations safely, efficiently, and in compliance with NEC, state, and local electrical codes. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on electrical experience, enjoys working in the field, and is comfortable performing installations across multiple job sites.
