Job Description Job Title: Radiologic Technologist OPEN TO NEW GRADS| NO WEEKENDS!! Job Description This role focuses on delivering high-quality radiologic imaging and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment that includes orthopedics, podiatry, physical therapy, and related cases. The technologist updates and maintains accurate patient information in the electronic medical record, uses modern scheduling and imaging systems, and supports fluoroscopy procedures while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. This position offers access to brand-new equipment, a new site location, and opportunities to cross-train in CT and other modalities to support long-term career growth. Responsibilities • Update and maintain accurate patient information in the Athena electronic medical record (EMR) system., • Use the Care Flow scheduling system to manage and coordinate patient appointments efficiently., • Provide excellent bedside care to patients, ensuring a professional, calm, and reassuring presence at all times., • Clearly explain imaging and fluoroscopy procedures to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns to promote understanding and comfort., • Clarify and follow physicians’ orders, ensuring all required imaging and documentation are completed accurately., • Scan and upload all necessary documentation and imaging information into the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)., • Maintain exam and procedure room cleanliness and readiness after each patient, following established infection control and safety protocols., • Obtain and review patient information and chart notes for fluoroscopy procedures to ensure proper preparation and accurate imaging., • Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance with safety standards, including OSHA and HIPAA regulations, in all aspects of daily work., • Perform daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual quality control checks on imaging equipment and processes as required., • Collaborate closely with other technologists and clinical staff in the urgent care and outpatient setting to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care., • Support a high-volume clinical environment by managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks while maintaining accuracy and compassion., • Participate in cross-training opportunities in CT and other modalities to expand skills and support departmental needs. Essential Skills • Current ARRT certification in radiology., • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification., • Demonstrated radiology experience with competence in performing imaging exams in an outpatient or similar clinical setting., • Strong bedside manner with the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care., • Ability to handle a high daily patient volume while maintaining accuracy and quality., • Proficiency or familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably Athena., • Ability to follow physicians’ orders accurately and adhere to imaging protocols., • Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA and HIPAA regulations., • Ability to perform required quality control checks on imaging equipment on a daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual basis. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience using Athena EMR or other electronic medical record systems., • Experience with fluoroscopy procedures., • Background or experience in medical assisting in a clinical environment., • Familiarity with PACS for scanning and managing imaging documentation., • Interest in cross-training in CT and other imaging modalities to support career development., • Strong communication skills to explain procedures and collaborate effectively with physicians and clinical staff., • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with other technologists in an urgent care or outpatient setting. Work Environment This position is based in a modern outpatient and urgent care setting that supports orthopedics, podiatry, physical therapy, and related cases. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with optional weekend shifts available for additional hours. You will work alongside three other technologists in an urgent care center, using brand-new imaging equipment and systems including Athena EMR, Care Flow scheduling, and PACS. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bound Brook, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $41.00/hr.
