The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient care by guiding patients through their treatment plans, ensuring smooth scheduling, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a passion for dentistry and the ability to build lasting relationships with patients and the dental team. Key Responsibilities: Patient Consultation and Communication: Review patient treatment plans with the dentist and explain the recommended procedures and options to patients. Answer patient inquiries about treatment costs, insurance coverage, and financing options. Provide clear, accurate information regarding the benefits, risks, and expected outcomes of treatments. Treatment Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and coordinate appointments for patients based on treatment plans. Ensure patients are aware of their appointment schedules and follow-up treatments. Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other team members to ensure timely and efficient care delivery. Insurance and Financial Management: Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits. Assist patients with insurance claims, billing inquiries, and payment processing. Provide estimates for treatment costs and work with patients to arrange financing options if needed. Work closely with the billing department to resolve any discrepancies or outstanding balances. Patient Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate patient treatment records in compliance with HIPAA and practice policies. Ensure that all patient information is up-to-date and properly documented in the practice management software. Customer Service: Ensure a positive, welcoming, and professional experience for every patient. Address and resolve any patient concerns or complaints in a timely and courteous manner. Support patients throughout their treatment journey, fostering trust and rapport. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and communication. Attend and participate in team meetings, training sessions, and practice events. Promote a positive and cooperative work environment. Qualifications: Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher in a related field is a plus. Previous experience as a dental treatment coordinator, receptionist, or in a similar role is highly preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes is strongly preferred. Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Working Conditions: Full-time/Part-time position. May require occasional evening or weekend hours, depending on the practice's schedule.
