Responsibilities • Create a Welcoming Environment: Greet patients and their parents warmly as they arrive, setting a positive, kid-friendly, and calming tone for their visit., • Schedule Management: Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage cancellations or rescheduling efficiently using our dental practice management software., • Insurance & Billing: Verify dental insurance breakdowns (PPOs, etc.), calculate copays, process dental claims, and present basic treatment plans to parents., • Patient Onboarding: Manage digital patient intake forms, update electronic health records, and ensure all consent forms and health histories are accurate and complete., • Office Operations: Maintain a clean and organized reception area, file documents appropriately, and collaborate closely with the clinical team to keep the daily schedule running smoothly., • Compliance: Ensure complete confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA standards regarding all patient information. Qualifications • Experience: Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or Front Desk Coordinator. Pediatric dental experience is a massive plus!, • Dental Knowledge: Strong understanding of dental terminology, CDT coding, and standard dental billing procedures., • Software Skills: Familiarity with dental practice management software (we will be using Open Dental), • Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a professional, patient, and empathetic phone manner.
