This role reports to the Senior Director of Culinary R&D on the Culinary R&D Team. The Culinary Innovation Recipe Developer is responsible for supporting the Culinary R&D team with a variety of business-critical workflows and projects. This position will be responsible for partnering closely with cross-functional teams across the company-including Operations (Procurement, Production Planning, Logistics), Marketing & Creative, Nutrition & Regulatory, and our Retail & Sales team-to bring new food concepts from idea to execution at scale. This position will assist with developing new recipes to support our innovation pipeline, but may also occasionally help with existing category optimizations and line extensions. This position will spend most of the week in the test kitchen, developing recipes, tweaking recipes, and preparing benchtop samples for a variety of needs-tastings, retailer pitches, internal & external events, consumer research, etc. This person will support the rest of the team in maintaining our ingredient inventory and working with the Procurement team to receive, record and evaluate the taste, quality, sensory attributes, and nutrition of new ingredients. This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in-office in Lower Manhattan required. • Assist with recipe development for both net-new innovation, and line extensions, depending on our innovation strategy and business needs, • Help maintain a sparkling clean and well-organized test kitchen, and ensure the kitchen is stocked with ingredients, tools and supplies, and that ingredients (dry, refrigerated, frozen) are organized, • Work on recipe optimizations and adjustments to drive production & cost efficiencies, flavor consistency, or nutritional & quality improvements, • Support leadership tastings, product cuttings, and evaluations by preparing materials, coordinating schedules, and documenting feedback, • Support coordination, assembly & shipping of samples for external testing (shelf life studies, cook validation, protein testing, shelf life extension, packaging stress testing, etc.) and for prospective retailers, • Provide support & produce samples for consumer testing, photo shoots, and internal/external events, as needed, • Assist the team with packaging and label reviews - checking for content accuracy and typos, • Coordinate gathering portfolio performance data, customer feedback, and quality insights from cross-functional teams to identify optimization opportunities and present clear cross-functional next steps, • Point of contact for all Culinary R&D shipments and Procurement ingredient samples - shipping/receiving, evaluating, and recording attributes (ex. raw materials, new launches, trial samples, R&D samples, etc.), • Assist with quality control checks for all finished goods that require it - whether for recipe optimizations or first runs of new innovation, • Manage the receipt of various weekly perishable shipments from production facilities and ingredient suppliers, • Support cleanup & maintenance of our product specifications, including supporting the transition of our nutrition platform and recipe data to a consolidated Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, • Evaluate samples of raw materials or finished goods that arrive to HQ for shelf life extension or general quality control, • Build proficiency with our nutrition platform, ERP system, and other internal systems for recipe and data entry, • You have a Culinary degree required or a BS degree, ideally in a food, agriculture or nutrition-related field, • 5+ years working in the food industry in recipe or new product development, ideally in better-for-you products; experience developing Consumer Packaged Goods in a corporate setting and/or working with third party manufacturers is a plus, • Computer literacy & experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel, • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage projects over several weeks, • Clear communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently & cross-functionally, • Detail and process-oriented with an ability to relentlessly follow up, get alignment, and ensure next steps are clear, • Comfortable with change, a fast-paced work environment, and some level of ambiguity, • You are a learner, always seeking to improve yourself, your team, and the world around you - to you, there's nothing more exciting than a new challenge you can learn and grow from, • You contribute to a fun, engaged work environment and assume positive intent of your colleagues, • Lover of food culture and trends, ear to the ground on what's new, trendy and next in food and beverage - natural, organic and better-for-you F&B is a plus Chobani uses food as a force for good in the world - putting humanity first in everything it does. What you'll do • Support the full sales cycle from initial pitch through contract execution, • Manage end-to-end sales pipelines for cycles ranging from 6 to 24+ months, maintaining full accountability for personal deal flow and prospecting, • Collaborate on high-stakes aviation accounts, serving as the strategic second chair to the VP of Aviation to navigate and close complex, enterprise-level deals, • Represent Metropolis at national and local industry events, • Deploy a solutions-based and product-led approach that uncovers pain points of our airport partners and translates them into actionable financial and operating proposals, • Lead or co-lead customer presentations, including discovery sessions and proposal delivery in person and virtually, • Build upon and create new relationships across key stakeholders inside our existing and prospective airport partners to build internal support and advocacy, • Work cross-functionally with our deal desk team on complex underwriting and financial modeling and collaborate with additional internal teams such as Marketing, Operations, and Legal to drive deals forward to execution, • Monitor and manage pipeline development and sales performance metrics in Salesforce CRM; be fully accountable for providing Salesforce inputs to ensure accurate forecasting, • Continuous education on our product and how it operates in the field; plan to spend at least one day per month at one of our airports with our operations team membersWhat we're looking for, • 7+ years in B2B business development and/or sales, which may include expertise in government affairs or commercial development; ideally, experience selling hardware and software solutions, not just one-time product sales, • Highly analytical and proven experience in financial underwriting and modeling, • Proficient with Salesforce and associated reporting and tools to manage pipeline, • Skilled in managing complex, multi-threaded deals with sales cycles as long as 24+ months, • Creative approach to communicating value propositions across diverse audiences, • Experience working with cross-functional teams throughout a deal cycle, including product, engineering, marketing, operations, legal, and finance, • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, • Willingness to travel at least three times per monthWhile not required, these are a plus:, • Experience selling into airports and/or government organizations, • Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced tech organization Metropolis values in-person collaboration to drive innovation, strengthen culture, and enhance the Member experience. Job Description The Director of Customer Strategy & Loyalty will build and operate Tatte’s customer growth engine, responsible for increasing guest frequency, strengthening retention, and deepening emotional connection with the brand. This leader owns the end-to-end system that converts guest engagement into measurable business outcomes, including loyalty strategy, CRM and lifecycle marketing, personalization, and customer intelligence. As Tatte expands across markets and digital channels, this role ensures the company builds durable guest relationships at scale. The Director will translate Tatte’s concept essence into repeat behavior and measurable economic impact — increasing visit frequency, improving retention, and driving sustainable same-store sales growth. This role partners closely with Digital, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Culinary, and Technology to ensure customer strategy strengthens both the hospitality experience and the economics of the business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Loyalty Strategy & Guest Frequency Growth – 40% • Architect and scale Tatte’s loyalty platform aligned with concept essence and economic guardrails., • Define segment-based value propositions that drive frequency and retention., • Lead pilot testing and performance optimization., • Establish the loyalty strategy as a primary driver of repeat visits and same-store sales growth., • Define the loyalty value proposition balancing rational benefits (rewards, convenience) with emotional loyalty (recognition, ritual, belonging)., • Partner with Digital Product and Technology teams to implement and scale the loyalty platform., • Establish economic guardrails and ROI expectations for loyalty investment., • Lead lifecycle strategy to drive repeat behavior and lifetime value., • Operationalize behavioral segmentation to focus investment where it yields the highest return., • Develop the data foundation and tools required to turn insight into action., • Build and operate a lifecycle marketing system that converts first-time guests into loyal regulars., • Develop segmentation frameworks and customer cohorts based on behavior and value., • Design personalized engagement strategies across email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messaging., • Implement structured experimentation including A/B testing and cohort analysis., • Establish unified reporting on frequency, retention, LTV, and cohort performance., • Track first-to-second visit conversion and churn risk., • Translate customer insights into actionable strategies across menu, messaging, and experience., • Partner with Finance to measure incremental comp sales driven by loyalty and CRM initiatives., • Translate concept essence into tangible loyalty and personalization moments., • Ensure loyalty enhances not interrupts hospitality., • Partner with Operations to integrate loyalty and digital engagement into the café experience., • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure lifecycle engagement reflects Tatte’s brand voice and hospitality., • Work with Digital Product and Technology teams to evolve Tatte’s customer data and engagement capabilities., • Build and develop Tatte’s customer strategy and lifecycle marketing capability., • Establish clear accountability for guest engagement performance metrics., • Foster a culture of experimentation, insight-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.
