Job Description Job Summary OpSec Consulting is looking for a reliable, motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. We work on commercial low voltage systems including access control, cameras, fire alarm, intercom/PA, door hardware, cabling, and other security and life-safety related systems. This is a full-time field position for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team. The right person should take pride in clean installs, proper troubleshooting, and getting the job done correctly. Responsibilities • Install, service, and troubleshoot low voltage systems in commercial facilities, • Run, terminate, label, and test low voltage cabling, • Install and service cameras, access control, intercoms, PA systems, fire alarm devices, and related equipment, • Mount devices, panels, power supplies, door hardware, readers, strikes, maglocks, and similar equipment, • Read basic plans, layouts, device locations, and wiring diagrams, • Troubleshoot wiring issues, device failures, power issues, and communication problems, • Work neatly and professionally in active customer environments, • Document work performed, materials used, and job notes clearly, • Communicate with office staff, project managers, customers, and other technicians, • Travel to job sites as needed; some out-of-area or out-of-state work may be required, • Follow company standards, safety practices, and customer site rules Qualifications • Low voltage installation or service experience preferred, • Experience with any of the following is a plus: access control, CCTV/cameras, fire alarm, intercom/PA, structured cabling, door hardware, wander management, or commercial security systems, • Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, ladders, testers, and installation equipment, • Ability to troubleshoot and think through problems in the field, • Must be reliable, punctual, and professional, • Must be able to communicate clearly and keep accurate notes, • Valid driver’s license required, • Must be able to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in commercial buildings, • Willingness to learn new systems and follow company procedures What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the company.
