Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Construction Estimator with National experience to join our team. The primary function of the Senior Construction Estimator is to support our pre-construction goals and estimating efforts by providing reliable and competitive estimates that our clients can trust with confidence. As a Senior Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for determining the total cost of construction projects. Your responsibilities include conducting thorough research, analyzing data, and interpreting plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the construction process, excellent mathematical skills, and the ability to negotiate contracts effectively. Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Analyze blueprints, plans, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops. Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Present prepared estimates for management to use in planning and organizing project budgets. Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors. Use computer software to calculate estimates and evaluate a project's financial feasibility. Assist in pricing on options and providing recommendations for the project Maintain an organized documentation of cost history, establishing cost breakdowns by region, project & division. Analyze historical project data for application to current projects Review scope definition & prepare quality survey or take off Initiate inquiries for prices from sub trades and suppliers Perform Plan Review Review RFP - including plans, specifications, sketches, geotechnical reports, design narratives, Addenda, etc. Attend pre-bid meeting, perform site inspections, verify existing conditions, analyze factors that may affect constructability (location of powerlines, access for deliveries, etc.). Prepare bidders lists - custom tailored for each project, carefully selecting those subcontractors that are most appropriate for each project (and most likely to bid). Prepare requests for subcontractor quotations and providing analysis of subcontractor quotes. Following up with subcontractors throughout the bidding period to keep communications open, gauge interest and field RFI's. Performing site visits with subcontractors. Prepare detailed and accurate Qualifications & Assumptions. Work with Project Operations in developing a Construction Management Plan. Work with Project Operations in developing a Project Schedule Prepare and review with Project Operations a detailed General Conditions & Project Requirement study (carefully considering - "how will we build this" mentality). Write Scopes of Work Taking lead with Estimating, Budgeting and Bidding of projects. Managing workload to ensure adequate time and resources are earmarked for each respective project. Preparing estimates by calculating complete take-off of Scope of Work: Bulk Quantity Take-offs. Man-hour Estimates. Material & Unit Price Estimates. MEP Systems & Equipment Estimates. Preparing conceptual estimates from preliminary design documents. Engaging subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the most accurate pricing is used. Evaluating active and past projects to create a historical cost database. Supporting and maintaining Estimating Department historical data files. Preparing budget comparisons between current and previous estimates. Maintaining files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current information on unit prices from suppliers. Providing support to Project Operations, as directed. Assisting with final assembly of estimates and pricing to clients. Estimator will report to the Director of Operations and President. Have 5 years estimating experience in related construction fields (emphasis on hard-bid, design-build, and Pre-Construction services). Have general knowledge of all aspects of construction (field experience a plus). Have high attention to detail and quality control. Experience and skills with OST, Sage/Timberline, and other estimating software are also valuable. Responsible for providing supportive services to individuals in the Supportive Housing Program at MHANC that is consistent with their personal recovery goals, cultural background and beliefs. Staff-to-resident caseload ratio is within the range of 1:20 to 1:30 for full time employees. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Staff is to conduct weekly visits for the first 4 weeks of admission into the program., • Conduct face to face contact with the participants, a minimum of once a month or more often as needed. The ASSURE Inventory Service Associate is a temporary contractor role and conducts patient field retrieval activities in support of the Supply Chain Operations and Returns Team. The ISA will perform inventory management and courier inventory from the warehouse in Garden City, NY. Perform other required departmental duties as required, i.e. cleaning, sanitization, etc. Major Accountabilities Following set Manufacturing Instructions, SOPs and GMPs, assists compounders in tending mixing tanks, compounding kettles, various mills and mixers, pumps etc. that mix, compound and mill raw materials used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products. Transfer raw materials from staging areas or compounding areas. Transfers bulk product from compounding to storage areas. Assists in weighing out specified types and quantities of liquid or solid raw ingredients via automated dispensing systems or manual scales, according to formula. Transfers completed batches via pump or gravity drop into proper containers for movement to storage or other production departments. Proactively questions anomalies and utilizes opportunity for additional understanding of problem resolution. Extracts bulk samples for laboratory analysis. May assist in the handling, dispensing and sampling of hazardous raw materials. Assists in the daily cleaning/sanitization of kettles, mixers, pumps, utensils and compounding rooms. Performs daily environmental monitoring according to schedule and SOP. May assist in the weighing/mixing of sanitizing agents. Completes required batch documentation records. Assembles and disassembles pumps, mills, kettles, etc. Adheres to all applicable procedures, cGMPs, company policies, and all other quality or regulatory requirements (OSHA, DEA, FDA, EMEA, ANVISA, HS&E, etc.). Ensures all work is performed in a safe, effective manner, and in compliance with the appropriate industry and regulatory (FDA, DEA, OSHA) standards, and Departmental, Plant, and Corporate quality and Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) goals. Note: This position may require the labeling, packaging or movement of hazardous (flammable, corrosive, toxic, etc.) waste within the facility. If so, this employee would be trained under OSHAs HAZWOPER standard, 29 CFR 1910.120 as an 8-Hour first responder, 24-Hour incident commander, or a 40-Hour incident commander. In lieu of HAZWOPER training, the employee will receive training on the requirements of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act pursuant to 40 CFR 265.16. All employees that have received the above mentioned training upon hire will receive annual refresher training that covers the OSHA HAZWOPER standard and the requirements of RCRA. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have satisfactory visual acuity and peripheral vision. Visual acuity and peripheral vision screenings may be used to screen applicants.
