Facilitate prioritization discussions with team, advocating for the stakeholders in the process. Ensure that external stakeholders and leadership are all updated with changes and development of the pipeline. Develop successful iterative processes that have requires razor sharp scoping. Work with your team to understand and define constraints so you can build great products quickly with nothing more and nothing less than what is needed. Ensure detailed but simple functional specs are available so that your whole team can be on the same page. Ensure product designers have the product and stakeholder understanding—as well as a defined scope—to make sure they can do their best work. Ensure feedback is given on designs and maintain Product involvement with working code as it progresses so your team can deliver product with great UX. Help your team break up projects to keep iterations small and manageable ensuring you can ship quickly and start learning early. Field interference for your team when appropriate. Anticipate roadblocks and work quickly to identify and fix blocking issues. Manage your team’s resource needs and anticipate, identify and resolve conflicts with other squads and tribes. Culture/Communication Work with your team to create a fast, iterative, and data-driven design and development process. Ensure the team has the data they need to learn and improve the product and work with stakeholders & team to plan the next iteration. Encourage and allow for lean experimentation, and encourage the team members to generate and test ideas. Make certain your products get the appropriate distribution & visibility among stakeholders who will benefit from their existence, among other members of the tech team who can learn, tech PR team, and to leadership and the company as a whole who need to understand how our products are improving.
