Job Description JOB DEFINITION: Provide clinical and/or administrative supervision to a dynamic team of professional and paraprofessional staff. Responsible for the overall functioning of the programs under the Director, including PROS, Employment Programs, Patient Navigator, and Veterans Program, and ensuring compliance with agency and regulatory policies and procedures. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: LCSW license required. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5 years of experience in a mental health-related field, 2 years of experience supervising staff in the healthcare field, knowledge of behavioral health issues. Experience in PROS setting strongly preferred. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee and supervise all aspects of assigned programs and assure that appropriate and necessary services are delivered and all program guidelines, protocols, policies, procedures and regulations are followed. Programs include:, • PROS- structured day program for individuals with behavioral health disorders, • Employment Programs- assists individuals with behavioral health disorders in finding competitive employment in the community, • Patient Navigator- assists individuals in applying for insurance through the NYS Marketplace, • Veterans Program- provides Veterans with Peer support and linkages to community resources, • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, training, and ongoing evaluation of staff under the supervision of the Director. Provide guidance and support to staff as it relates to their job descriptions, oversight of compliance with standards, oversight of their productivity, and training needs of staff through ongoing supervision., • Assist with the agency's responsibility to adhere to regulatory and funding agencies requirements by participating in appropriate and prompt record keeping procedures, which may include, but are not limited to:, • Reviews, develops and interprets quality assurance standards;, • Maintains current regulatory guidelines for program and monitor program activities against these guidelines;, • Prepares statistical and narrative reports as required, • Develop and coordinate processes for data collection, tracking and reporting; communicate data results within the agency and to external funding sources., • Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote agency programs to community partners and individuals in need of services., • Involved in maintaining accurate billing for services; reviews billing regularly and communicates with Director and Finance Department regarding billing needs and concerns; works with Director to develop ways to optimize billing in accordance with client needs and program protocols., • Help develop and maintain evidence-based protocols to be used by staff in facilitating PROS groups., • Provide direct services for PROS clients while carrying a caseload; follows agency and program protocols for these services as it relates to documentation., • Participate in all required internal and external meetings that appropriately represent the needs of the client and the agency., • Provide on-call, after-hours assistance for emergency situations., • This position will be required to be on-site at any one of the locations where services are provided., • Manage, document and follow-up on program/client accidents/grievances/incidents., • Prepare for audits and certification reviews as well as Quality Assurance activities and Program Evaluation., • Assume the responsibilities and tasks of all staff roles in their absence. Directly complete, participate in or delegate such tasks and ensure all protocols and guidelines are being followed., • Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities as part of professional development goals, • Encourage quality improvement processes and provide consistent resources for QI and professional development, • Ability to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths, views and experiences.
