My company is looking for a part-time Field Technician to join the team to respond to service calls. A car (with valid drivers license) and basic power tools (power drill, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.) are a requirement. We are Spec Data, a low voltage services company based in New Jersey serving clients across the Tri-State area. The low voltage industry includes work such as installing and maintaining network cabling, point of sale systems (POS), Wi-Fi access points, security cameras, access control systems, and related tech infrastructure in commercial and residential settings. I’m looking for someone comfortable using power tools, with general handyman experience that likes computers and tech. You should also be comfortable working on ladders or operating a lift, as the work involves pulling cable through trusses above the ceiling. The job entails: • Installing and removing infrastructure to client specifications, • Troubleshooting network equipment, • Documenting work with clear before/after photos and short write-ups, • Communicating professionally with remote engineers and clients on-site, • Showing up neat (business casual + cargo pants) and on time If this sounds like you, or something you’d be great at, send me a brief description of your background, experience, and availability, along with your contact information. Thanks! Yevgeniy Baranovskiy (you can call me Gene)
