You’ll be coached, challenged, and trusted — not stuck as “the material runner.” What you’ll be doing As an Electrical Apprentice (1–4 years experience), you’ll be side-by-side with experienced electricians and journeymen, doing real work, not just busywork: - Reading and working from blueprints - Installing electrical panels and equipment - Installing and bending conduit - Pulling wire and installing boxes/devices - Assisting with troubleshooting electrical issues - Working safely as part of a crew on a variety of projects You’ll typically report directly to the job site, mostly in Central NJ, with occasional work in Northern and Southern NJ. Schedule: - Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm - Occasional overtime, as needed - Travel pay when working outside our normal radius What you’ll get (beyond a paycheck) We know people stay and grow when the company invests in them. A car (with valid drivers license) and basic power tools (power drill, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.) are a requirement. We are Spec Data, a low voltage services company based in New Jersey serving clients across the Tri-State area. The low voltage industry includes work such as installing and maintaining network cabling, point of sale systems (POS), Wi-Fi access points, security cameras, access control systems, and related tech infrastructure in commercial and residential settings. I’m looking for someone comfortable using power tools, with general handyman experience that likes computers and tech. You should also be comfortable working on ladders or operating a lift, as the work involves pulling cable through trusses above the ceiling.
